The way he speaks comes from his personality. He is still a bilingual. You pointed out that he seems like a Pierrot and it turned out to be a truth. I was always wondering he might not be a typical translator who has a good academic background because I could sense a laziness and lack of passion in his career by looking at his translations or the way he acts and speaks. It all makes sense now. He was busy with stealing money and gambling while fooling everybody around.

The way I understand it is he got lucky when he met Ohtani. But a man who bases his reality on luck has no power. A man who bases his reality on SKILLS has the purpose and drive to wake up everyday and BETTER himself. Ohtani is definitely a man who bases his reality on skill.
His English is good and perfect. He is a Japanese. It can't be avoided. Your comment is nonsense.

I thought about various reasons why Japanese people's English proficiency is low. One reason seems to be the number of characters. English has only 26 letters, so its expressive power is limited. Japanese has 50 syllables in hiragana and katakana, and by the time you finish compulsory education, you will have memorized about 900 kanji words. As you can see from this large number of characters, Japanese people have a deep-rooted habit of judging sentences by the letters rather than the sounds. Furthermore, for example, in English, if only one word is written, is it a noun? Is it a verb? Although it is not possible to identify it immediately, since Japanese has kanji, if it is a book, the meaning and part of speech can be determined with just one word. Moreover, in the case of Japanese, the meaning can be conveyed to the other person even without a subject, which is a feature not found in other countries. There is a phrase in Japan that says, ``I can understand without saying it.'' There are two subjects in this sentence, and even if both are omitted, the message can be understood by Japanese people. For these reasons, Japanese people find English to be an inconvenient language.

Everything you say is correct and that is the reason why it’s difficult. You are LOOKING. Everything you said suggests you think of English as a visual puzzle and you compared it with the Japanese visual symbol system. But just the raw truth should set you free. Language is invisible. You cannot use your eyes. You MUST listen. There is no other path. There is no choice. Listen>mimic>rehearse. But if you do need a “reference” to assist you in distinguishing the sounds, then focus on the color, not letters 👍🏻apps.apple.com/jp/app/aura-english-hd/id1527934446?l=en

@@kysennpai thank you for your reply! All of your claims are correct. As you say, language is essentially about sounds, which is the truth. Japanese is a special language that is difficult to identify based on sounds alone, so we tend to deviate from the truth that sounds are important in language. However, it is great to be able to learn about different cultures by coming into contact with other countries' languages like English. Thank you for your wonderful message! You are such an amazing person,Your Japanese is very good! We support you in the future!

Thanks for the kind words 🥲 i was so scared to learn japanese because of the kanji AND hiragana AND katakana😅 but i realized that recognizing kanji was FUN and I also realized I didn’t need to know kanji in order to have a “conversation.” That took the pressure off when I talked to people. So in the same way I hope you continue to have conversations in English and enjoy your bilingual skillset 🤙🏻
アメリカ人みたいに英語が話したいの〜って、アメリカ人みたいに話せるのがそんなに偉いんでしょうか。イギリス人が聞いたらヘソで茶沸かすかもね。 Ippei came to the US when he was 6 and he went through the local public school system here in California. I can pick up something specific to Asians, but I can tell he grew up here.
一平さんの英語はモゾモゾと話すので聞き取りにくい。プロの通訳は普通ひとことひとこと、クリアに発音する。太谷選手に一平さんの英語を真似して欲しくない。 I find it hard to understand Ippei's English because he mumbles when he speaks. I don't want Shohei to copy Ippei's English speaking style.
