Everything you share helps others who follow you. Sometimes your way of saying something is hard but honest and real. That's a good thing cause it's real. My family lost a very important 30 year old person in 2017. My Son. Everyone just wants to know they are valid and worthwhile and are making a difference. I am in Canada. I haven't watched all your videos yet but you gotta know that you are making a very big difference. Keep embracing that and keep making a difference. That's what I try to do.

Your 'old home' is always tough to look at after the fact. The memories are frozen in time, the new owners screw with them. On to new memories in Moab my friend!

Pete. In 1977 at age 16 my first wheels was a 1949 Dodge Pick up. My dad and took it all the way down to the frame and restored that beauty. I feel your pain. Let it go bro. From a fellow Texan, Good on ya.

Memories of a big part of ones life can be sad or happy. Good times bad times we all had our share of them. Keep on trucking Pete it's all we can do.

Time heals all wounds, and in some cases creates new ones. I recently went back to the house I spent years 5 to 12, I was blown away with all the memories that came flooding back, my family have all passed away now. So it was memory city. Life has flown by in the blink of a eye. In the next year or so Im traveling back to Texas to visit some friends, while there I will go visit the house I built myself from the ground up in the country. That should be fun. Your lucky to live in such a beautiful place now. Go home

I built my body shop in a small town in 1978...closed it in 2011 and sold it in 2018. I miss my shop...I knew I would but I didn't know at the time how much I would miss it. My parents bought the property in 1953..was in the family a long time. When I go back to visit its like I never left it, the new owner has his car stuff in there but hasn't really changed a thing. I don't go there too often...it just hurts too much.

I can relate to your last few minutes. I'm losing my place in Milwaukee. But we're packing up and heading west to hopefully the Wisconsin Dells area. My kids were born here, they grew up here. They still live here, but it has never really felt like home to me. Now that I'm getting a foot out the door, I'm going more where _I_ want to go. Actually, mama wants to go there, but I'm fine with it. It's semi-familiar and a lot more beautiful. I'll miss Lake Michigan - I've never lived more than 8 miles from it, but it's not "home" here. It used to be a nice place, but it's too Illinois-y now. Too many Chicagoans moving up here.

Well Pete your dreams have come true! You have jumped the fence to greener pastures in Moab! Remember all they had was malls in your area of Dallas anyway. Fill up the tank, put her in gear, slam down the gas, burn rubber, sling rocks, and scramble back home to Moab! Yee Haa smiles my friend smiles!

Well crap Pete, if it bothers you that bad, open another shop in Dallas and use the Moab shop for a getaway 3-4 months a year. Commute! Money well invested. It is only a matter of time before the escapees of california will be Moab bound. In time you can always sell either place if you wish when the time becomes right. Just food for thought.
