In this video I will be sharing all the things that I am currently doing to maintain my locs at the one year mark. I also will share some of the changes that I've seen since my last video.
I started my locs with two strand twists, and I braided the ends of my twists to prevent unravelling.
The last time I checked, I had 477 locs.

😍😍😍 Your microlocs are beautiful! I just finished my install on September 7th. I’m loving them. I have the same thinning issue on the back right side of my hair too. Can’t wait til these babies grow into toddler locks ☺️

Your hair is gorgeous 🥰 i am about to start my microlocs later this month. I watched a video on Locked and Loose channel and fell in love with micros. She doesn't make videos anymore 😔 but she smoothes her new growth by wrapping and smoothing the new growth around the base of the loc when she retightens. I know u don't have issues with frizz but maybe that will help answer some of your subscribers questions about frizz. Great video. I look forward to following you.

Firsr off...LOVE your defiinition! Even after a year.... and I absolutwly love the tiny hair rings. I never like hair jewelry for me, being a mature natural (40+). Seems too teeny bopper for myself. But the hint of hair jewelry is just right and simply lovely. Thanks for the inspiration 😉

Loving it!! Especially the twist loc look. I also have alopecia. Two spots that have some follicle life after treatments. It’s been a year and hair returning is pure white and an interesting texture compared to my normal 4c hair. Not quite ready to commit to locs until my spots grow back more but just doing mini twist and twist out styles for now ;)

Aww thank you!!! I get what you are saying about the different texture. When my spot grows back the hair is usually super silky. I used to wear mini twists a lot before I locd my hair. They are a great transition. Style!

Congratulations on hitting one year! I'll be 6 months tomorrow (5th). No pictures posted yet. I was going to retwist this weekend but what had happened was.... You were one of my inspirations to jump in and just get started. I'll tag you when I eventually post picture. My frizz has been beyond disrespectful and I'll be happy when I can get to a loctician for a professional touch. Until then its fun wearing my wraps.

No frizz because it’s two strand twisted

Jas The Gem Well I know a lot of people who have two strand twists and have lots of frizz. I honestly think it’s because of my texture, and maybe how I twisted. I did rope twists.

Kat's Coils ok I just know most who have twists have low frizz not no frizz because of the twisting method. But I can see how rope twist would reduce the frizz because the twist are tighter.

I started with 2 strand twists and have tons of frizz almost from first wash.

@@KatsCoils I keep saying mini locs because I always think of micro locs as being your size. But I guess technically mine are larger micros because my bases are mostly 5/16 now.
