On the mistake you said of Ember's embrella all of a sudden disappering, you did say before that Ember touched the embrella and it burned. We can see a line, anyway. Maybe that's the stick of the umbrella that didn't burn. Also, I understand that the weapon Ember's father uses to try to scare away wade would go through him, but something hot was touching it. Isnt the weapon he tried using metal? If it is, then if fire touched it, and if it got hot then went through Wade, then it would still harm him.
