J’ai visionné une archive de monsieur D.L.Ménard au Québec (1975) avec un monsieur Marc qui fabriquait des accordéons Louisianais. -Et comme j’ai trouvé chez-eux de la bonhomie; de la jovialité,de la complaisance ainsi que de la bienveillance!!!-En somme les Québécois, les Acadiens et les Cajuns possèdent drôlement des affinités.-Je suis de souche Québécoise et Acadienne.-Bonne journée.-Viviane. Last time was in us.south state. Have problems with understand the mix french.english. laungvige.The cajun.Music are superb..Love it.Have been in also in North canada.but the French dialect. Are different. Best regard from. Caddy. Man. Sweden.

Hmm, let me see, I've been listening, dancing around and smiling to D. L. for about 40 years - first on LP (worn out, scratched beyond help), 8-track (off to the dump), cassettes (all coiled up & frazzled), cd (still have, it's in my CD Player's Turntable), MP3 on iphone (today) and I still love the music and this song just as much!!! The best. Chapeaux hors fonction! I've used la porte d'arriere many times LOL! Thank you, cajunwings, I really appreciate your channel!

Je vis dans le nord ouest de la Floride. Je ai appris ma langue ancestrale français pendant 10 mois maintenant. Je veux aller à la Louisiane bientôt et trouver des personnes qui parlent encore notre langue et de leur parler et de faire la fête.

This tune--before and after the lyrics--is bedrock--musical geological bedrock. I've heard other songs that use a similar melody--always great, always fun and emotional. Not to mention the 'give me three steps' storyline--eh?
