D-mannose, or d mannose, helped me tremendously. I am a HUGE proponent of d mannose for UTI prevention when the infections are caused by e. Coli. I do want to share what has changed since making this video!
As of 2022: I currently use d-mannose powder, not pills, as a part of my daily routine, and I am taking probiotics again (after stopping for a couple of years, maybe sometime in 2019 - half of 2021) after having to take a few rounds of antibiotics in 2021. That being said, if you want to purchase the products I mention in this video, you can find them here:
✩ Products Mentioned:
→ NOW D-mannose Pills: amzn.to/3pumoSr
→ KAL D-mannose Powder: amzn.to/3rFuhGy (this is what I currently use!)
→ Probiotics: amzn.to/2L22fnS
→ Brain Maker, by Dr. Perlmutter: amzn.to/3qXRh2i

Mentioned probiotic bacterial strains:
☼ Lactobacillus plantarum
☼ Lactobacillus acidophilus
☼ Lactobacillus brevis
☼ Bifidobacterium lactis
☼ Bifidobacterium longum
D-Mannose clarification:
☼ 3 veg capsules = 1 serving, the label suggests 1-3 servings per day.
☼ I take at least 1 serving daily, and sometimes 2-3 servings (6-9 capsules) depending upon my behaviors that day.

This stuff is amazing. I used to get uti's OFTEN. Every time i was going to start my period, couple times a month and i couldnt continue to go to the doctor. I looked online, found d-mannose and it was a life saver. Now you should do some up keep, maybe put a scoop in your water once a month even if you dont have any issues, bc i stopped using it after it cured my uti and about 4 months later i got another one, but since putting a little in my water once a month just to keep it in my system i havent had ANY uti's. Its INCREDIBLE .

I remember watching this video whilst I on was on the toilet, crying, at 2am with what I thought was a bladder infection. I was later diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis, I found myself back at this video later on from my diagnosis. I just wanted to say thank you for recommending this (although not directed for IC), I incoperate this into my daily routine to help me from flaring. Thank you again ❤

Hi! Ugh, I hate that you've experienced that level of pain, and while IC is a tricky diagnosis, I am so glad that you were able to figure out what the root cause of your bladder pain is. I fully intend to make videos about IC, but until then, I wanted to share with you that sometimes seeing a pelvic physical therapist can be helpful for IC pain management. While a pelvic PT cannot treat the underlying cause of IC, a pelvic PT can sometimes use and teach you manual and lifestyle pain management techniques that can make day to day life a little easier. If you live in the US, you can use this directory to find a provider near you: pelvicrehab.com I also wanted to share that my routine has changed a bit since making this video. I no longer take probiotics, and I use d-mannose powder, not pills, as part of my preventative routine. I highly, highly recommend the powder over the pills! Thank-you for your inspirations! I found drinking 4 liters of water with lemon juice and a very alkaline diet is the key to prevent my constantly reoccurring UTI's. Hopefully this helps other people, these bacteria feed off of simple carbohydrates so I just eat lots of dark greens this is key for spinach/kale/romaine lettuce ect..50% of my diet is dark greens, some lower GI fruits meaning fruits with lower sugar content, lentils/beans for protein but Antibiotics doesn't really do much for me, the bugs just come back. A very strict diet works, plus positive self loving thoughts. All the best for everyone.

Macrobid is very intense and it’ll just cause yeast infections afterwards, another annoying condition to deal with! You are so right about the microbiome and the GI tract. I started having these UTI infections because of a month and a half of an intense antibiotic treatment in Spain that left my microbiome completed depleted and I began to be susceptible to yeast infections and UTI’s because my body no longer has good bacteria that helps fight off the bad bacteria and that’s why most likely you have chronic ITIs - poor microbiome. Drink kefir and eat fermented foods! For probiotics the best is Natren.

Victoria, just to give you an update on my wife's condition. Since listening to your advice on this video, she hasn't had an episode with uti's. The D-Mannose, worked! Instead of using antibiotics, that seem to last for a month to 6 weeks, then another episode. D-Mannose, is a better route, in my wife's case. It's been months, since her last infection. She drinks a lot of water, these days. Thanks again for your advice. Much Mahalo, Dennis

I have just started on it with a uti that is lingering after taking uva ursi for a week which shouldn’t be exceeded because of possible liver damage, and syringing with very dilute 3% food grade hydrogen peroxide which made my heart race for 2 hours after. The D Mannose dose of 3 caps had no scary symptoms. I just got a little warm but pain when peeing disappeared right away! Maintenance dose still necessary, and you explained that very well! I am so sorry to hear that your wife has had a similar experience with the chronicity, it can be very frustrating. I was able to cure an acute UTI with d-mannose powder, and I made a different video about that success (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/n8efeNGgqpfYY58.html) I hope that your wife finds some relief with d-mannose. If her UTIs are caused by e. coli, it should be rather effective. My success with clearing the UTI came with taking 1/2 - 1 teaspoons of d-Mannose powder every 2-3 hours for 5 days (except when I was sleeping). I felt relief in the first 48 hours. If I can be helpful in any other way, let me know! Best of luck to your wife

thank you for your concern. My wife, started taking D Mannose today. She is taking as the bottle suggest, two teaspoons a day. I'll let her know that she can take more, as you did for your UTI. She is also eating blueberries and pineapple. I think her UTI's are from the E coli bacteria. The reason I am guessing it's E coli, is because since she was a young girl, she is in the habit of wiping from back to front. I mentioned to her that what I learned from video's on You Tube, that if just a little gets to her urinary tract, it could start an infection. It's 11:00 pm right now, and she is asleep, so in the morning, we are hoping for some relief. I'll keep you posted as to her condition. Much Mahalo, Dennis

I was going to give you the update in a few days. She is doing pretty good. The D-Mannose, seems to help with the flow, but not that consistent. What she does is take D-Mannose everyday, and drink a lot of water during the day. What seems to get things really flowing is after she drinks lots of water, she'll drink a can of beer, Miller Lite, to be exact. Then the flood gates open, and whatever is in the bladder, comes rushing out! Now I have or had a problem with my bladder. Last week, I had blood in my urine, so I went to see my urologist. After my check up, he said everything looks good, and so I need further tests, with a CAT Scan and a device where he can look into my bladder. This will take place in October. I think I figured out what was the problem. to make a long story short, I need to use a catheter to empty my bladder, on a daily basis. What I was doing was as I"m draining my bladder, using the catheter, I was tensing up the bladder, in the hopes of strengthening the muscles in the bladder. I think I caused the catheter to irritate the bladder wall, and so the bleeding. After I stopped doing that, no bleeding. That was 8 days ago. I am thinking of just canceling my appointment with the CAT Scan. Mahalo, for your concern.

I’ve been doing the three servings of the NOW brand D-Mannose pills (all my store had), and 2 days of pills and I’m having no symptoms at all. I’m going to continue to take three servings to make sure it’s all cleared up, then go to one serving. (I know I went untreated for a long time.. not good. it was more work to get to a doctor than try this, because the closest walk-in clinic to me is about 40 minutes away and I work typical office hours - the only time they are open.)

A doctor recently told me that e coli bacteria have the ability to "hide" inside the bladder cell wall. If you have chronic UTIs it's likely always caused by the same bacteria, which hide in the cell wall and can't be reached by antibiotics there. He adviced me to use a food supplement Calles "Forskolin" (the German name, I'm not sure if it's called like this everywhere) in combination with d mannose. Forskolin causes the e coli bacteria to migrate back into the bladder where the d mannose can neutralize them so they can just be peed out. I'm currently trying this, and so far it seems to be working, let's see how it is in a few weeks

I'm in practically the exact sqame situation as you. I had a UTI after sex every- single-time I was with my ex, actually that's why he's my ex. Idiot wanted to have nothing to do with me and vanished into thin air, but with him, away my UTIs went. Problem solved. Or rather trigger solved. I genuinely thought I'd broken the curse, as I was taking cranberry probiotics, drinking much more water, and of course taking all the precautions during and after sex, but no. I'm in a new relationship and my UTIs have come back. The urologist I consulted last year wanted to put me on Nitrofurantoin every time I had sex, and I NOPED the hell out of it. I'm not going to wreak my body with that. Not planning to fry my nervous system. But I'm scared of D-mannose not working, since my UTis are caused by other bacteria. Not E-coli. Some staphs, streps and who knows what else. Dmannose is my last hope. If that doesn't work I'm planning to abstain for the rest of my life. Just something else: don't EVER take ANY fluoroquinolone antibiotic (Ciprofloxacine, Levoquin, Moxifloxacine, any "flox") Avoid it like the pague. It can permanently injure your nervous system, your tendons and muscles, IT CAN RUIN YOUR LIFE.

With respect, Jesus didn't believe himself to be God. According to the Bible Jesus said in John 17:3 the following: 'Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.' Jesus made it clear that there is only one true God, and that it is not him, and that he was sent by the only true God. Jesus was one of the greatest men ever to walk this earth, but he was a Messenger and Prophet of God, not God Himself. Have a nice day.

Hi! I somehow missed your comment -- I apologize for such a delayed response! But if the doxycycline didn't clear up your symptoms, have you tried or heard of pelvic physical therapy? If you are having painful urination, difficulty initiating the flow or urine, waking more than 2x/night to urinate, resting sense of urgency, increased frequency during the day, etc. it could be your pelvic floor! I am a pelvic floor physical therapist and I treat men all of the time who have been through the wringer with these symptoms -- same sort of thing, docs giving them loads of antibiotics/telling them it's in their heads. I asked him about this d-mannose and every specialist I asked said there isn't any evidence it works and they'd never seen any patients have it work for them. Also, don't for get to take a prebiotic with your probiotic if you don't eat lots of fiber.

It has worked wonders for me! I have added it as a part of daily regimen as described in this video (with the powder, not the pills now), and I have only gotten one UTI in the last year - which is amazing compared to the 10-12 I was getting a year before. That being said, it doesn't work for everyone. Alternative options were worth investigating for me, and if they're worth it for you and d-mannose doesn't do the trick, don't give up on yourself or your body

I've heard of D-Mannos and will give it a try. I have a mild form of MS and when you have MS you're also prone to UTIs. 'I don't get them all the time, but once in awhile I do! I warded off a UTI once with taking lots of garlic supplement/capsules, six a day plus Cranactin which is a cranberry based supplement which works as well, but you have to nip it in the bud before it really gets worst! Drinking lots of water will also flush it out and now I take buffered organic Vit. C now everyday because it's the healing vitamin and protects against infection. I'm a certified nutritionist and was also a fitness trainer in the 1990s but check with your physician as well about this. Unfortunately, many still don't know all about nutrition and need to catch up with the times. Apple Cider vinegar is a probiotic as well and drinking a tsp or two of that in a glass of water with a tsp of raw honey is also said to prevent UTIs so I do that as well. Castor oil packs are also good for UTIs etc anything involving the bladder...you can research about that on the internet, they've been around for thousands of years! Glad to hear you finally conquered this...there is help around for this...make friends also with your urologist! Many women are so prone to this and my urologist told me it is genetic/hereditary. I have three grown daughters and two granddaughters and can attest to this...they all have weak bladders like I have and are prone to UTIs as well. Epigenetic, gets handed down through the generations! BTW, this Cape Codder loves your sweat shirt...does that say Cape Cod? Your hair was in the way on one side! Thanks for sharing your important info as well~

D-mannose only works on E.coli and doesn't do a thing for many other types of bacteria. If d mannose doesn't work it means you're probably going to need to go to the doctor and get a urinalysis. With that they can determine which anti biotic is the one to use.

Interesting video. Been struggling with UTI my whole life as well. It's very frustrating, to be honest.. especially when you would keep on going back and forth to the bathroom non-stop, feeling the need to urinate when it's actually just those evil microbes that won't stop messing with ya. :(

I am so sorry to hear that you've been struggling with UTIs your whole life, too. They are SO frustrating -- but if it is E. coli that causes your infections, I am really hopeful that d-mannose can do for you what it has done for me! I do want to share with you that my routine has changed since making this video. I no longer take probiotics, and I use d-mannose powder, not pills, as a part of my preventative routine. I highly, HIGHLY recommend the powder over the pills 💕 I outline these changes and more in: This 2019 update video: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ZpyDf8ah07udk5c.html And this FAQs blog post: www.pelvicempowerment.com/uti-faqs/ I wish you only the best, and please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions 😊

@@PelvicEmpowerment Wow, I didn't even expect such a response. O_O Thanks! And yeah, E. coli are the ones that would lurk around my urinary tract every once in awhile. Doctors would be handing me antibiotics (zinnet is one of them) every time the condition gets serious, switching from one kind to another. It's been that way since the very start. Even a box of Ural alkalinizer would do the trick, but it's not always effective too. Regardless, I really do appreciate the interesting share. Got a lot of research to do regarding this stuff. Wish the best to you too, I suppose! :) ✌🇲🇾

Ive just come off antibiotics after taking them at night time for the past 9 years. Mine started after i had a c section with my daughter. I get a severe infection with a uti but the urologist cant find the cause with all the tests i have had. Ive had a camera put into my bladder, scans on my kidneys and a CT scan. They have started finding blood in my urine samples recently too. Im going to give D mannose a try starting from today, i really hope it helps as my urologist doesnt have a single clue to why i am getting these infections :( wish me luck x
