What are some common misunderstandings about D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones? What was most of his ministry spent on? Mrs. Lloyd-Jones says, “No one will understand my husband, who does not know that he was first a man of prayer and then an evangelist.” Pastors Mark Dever and John MacArthur sit with Lloyd-Jones’ biographer, Iain Murray, and his grandson, Jonathan Catherwood, to discuss the life of this pastor-evangelist whom evangelicalism owes so much to.

Dr Martyn Lloyd-Jones was the greatest preacher in Great Britain , uncompromising and on fire for Lord. I love him . I listen to his sermons, which the Lord has preserved for us. Martyn Lloyd-Jones was baptised in the Holy Spirit, few preachers have the power in their preaching . Lloyd-Jones roared from the pulpit and the Holy Spirit spoke through this Godly man. Praise the Lord for the blessings of enlightenment and discernment which were showered upon this faithful servant of God .

I have listened to many hours of Lloyd jones and I love him greatly.im surprised mcarthur is there, there are some pretty fundamental differences in doctrine as far as I can compare

Have you ever listened to Martyn Lloyd Jones preach on speaking in tongues? I do not think they would agree on just this alone. I was surprised to see him here as well.

Yes, especially MacArthur, who is a premillenialist, contra Paul, for Christ reigns now (as Lord) over wrath, sin, the law, and death; when Christ returns this time, it means the end; (1 Cor 15); there will be no living mortal sinners in some earthly millenium.
