Dear friends
SEA Park brings good memories to me. Amongst many things, I met my girlfriend here while we’ve renting different rooms in the same vicinity. She is of course is my wife today. I watched the first movie, Bruce Lee’s Fist of Fury at Ruby theatre. Apparently, this was the first movie they screened on their opening ceremony. I also bought my 2nd hand turntable from a Ruby Music. My wedding suit was made by Mikado tailor. All this happened in the 70s at SEA Park. Not all the food stalls I patronized are still here, even though some still remained. The good thing about SEA Park is, good food never fails to come here. For this episode I’ll just feature one kopitiam and all the food stalls that comes with it. Hope you find this episode compelling as much as I worked on it. Thanks, and see you in the next.

I grew up in Sea Park, this place is nostalgic and memories are vivid. Ruby theatre was very much a part of my childhood remember once after midnight show and I walked home with my dad and got chase by stray dogs lol😅 MJ Wang… way back then the coffee shop was such a hit! Sister’s curry laksa was there and a fruit stall right in front. And in the evening there was this Chinese restaurant style stall on the outside. Their food was really good. Not sure if you remember the tong sui stall and kampar fish ball stall at the corner coffee shop used to have this lady that sells asam laksa and Siamese laksa! That aunty’s Siamese laksa and kampar fish ball noodle was my favourite noodle stall. Too many good eats in a rather small area 😅 your video brought back a lot of memories thank you for sharing this video uncle Elmo. ❤

i am very familiar with Sea Park. Have lived there since the 80's, the morning mkt back then was very lively and food choices aplenty. Quality was good too 🙂and the snooker centre in Sea Park mkt used to be Emporium supermarket 😂. Speaking of Victoria, they were reduced to a tiny shop with tee shirts and CDs back in 2019 in Sg Wang. Times have changed... and oh yeah, the good old Ruby theatre... so many great memories

Each of us living in that era will have our own "memorabilia" ranging from cassettes, VHS tapes, DVDs, VCDs, vinyls and etc etc. Those were good days indeed. In this episode - it was interesting to have a coffee shop having so many good and tasty stalls after being vet by the shop owner on the choices and taste of their food. Interesting vegetarian stalls to "Sam Kan Cheong" noodle classic "only in Klang" area available are all favorites. Great to see youngsters taking over the "wok"and preparing great food and continued to be enjoyed by the people at SEA park. I would reiterate that it is again a Yatt Lau & Mou Tak Deng food haunting episode to add to series. Thank you Elmo. 🤏🤏🤏

It was called Tong Foong restaurant many years ago. In the 80s, it housed a beef noodle stall which was one of the best in Klang Valley then, ran by 2 sisters. They sold the recipe and stall to a new owner who ran the stall subsequently. But I don’t think they are there anymore. That restaurant used to sell nice coffee and the owner of the building ran a vegetarian restaurant on the first floor.

Music CD still has its niche following due to sound quality instead of compressed mp3 and music streaming. As for movies, DVD is still relevant IF you have DVD player, more of older generation since 4K and streaming services is readily available. Seapark is basically section 21, bordering Paramount Garden, which is section 20. Ruby cinema was iconic landmark, before it was shut, turned into a Church & vacated, then now, eye-sore Ruby apartment :)

Learn to let go is doing a favour to yourself and your family. Things that is no longer in use becomes accumulate like a mountain, if you have rented storage room then different case, or else its just an eyesore.
