I now habe 7100km on my Brixton, and there were also many little things (for example: the temperature sensor for the engine did not work, so it was very hard to start the engine), but I am very happy with this bike. I is a lot of fun to cruise along the road or to just drive somewhere to eat an icecream. But I also made some longer trips with it (up to 6 hours). And eventhough it isn‘t the most comfortable bike ever created, these trips were really nice and I enjoyed it.😄 So thank you for this review and I hope you have as much fun with your Brixton as I do. Greets from Austria👋
@D3Sshooter6 жыл бұрын
Austrian Aviator thank you. And by now i have 1200 km and no issues so far. Except the blinkers. But that is fixed. I enjoy it. And it seems to a very easy bike to work on. Enjoy your brixton. And maybe we meet once on a road
@austrianaviator79206 жыл бұрын
Yeah, the blinkers are also not a huge problem to fix. I did some easy work on it, but i prefer to go to my dealership to fix things. But I can imagine that you, as someone who is a real expert on bikes, don‘t have much problems to work on it👍. That would be really cool, and thank you for your reply!

I haven't got one yet, but from past experience you can have a ton of fun on these budget bikes if you can tolerate the fixable shortcomings. A lot of enjoyment to be had at a low price.

In Germany there is a new law, that allows drivers over 25 years old and with more than 5 years of overall driving experience to drive motorcycles with a max of 125ccm without a special driving licence . I am looking forward to buy me one of those since i drive almost daily 20km trough small country roads, and in summer i guess this bike would be perfect for my needs and as a Mechanic i can tell you that even Mercedes-Benz makes their parts in China so im not afraid of less than perfect quality. Thank you for the review, keep up the good work!

But you are not allowed to drive to other countries with this "permission". Its only valid in Germany which saddens me quite a bit. :( Also this "permission" doesnt "add" to your "experience". So you cant upgrade to the A2 licence. In my eyes this is bullshit. Why can I drive in Germany but not in other countries? I am 31 years old and a very experienced car driver. I want to travel the world by a motorbike, because of various reasons. I have to do the whole procedure with all the hours in driving schools and with all the tests if I want to do so.

Hey, I got the trekker version of this bike bx 150, it's been nice. I basically full throttle the bike and the only thing that kinda breaks is the left front signal which has come loose. Other than that I got 7K km on it so far, and the only thing I replaced are the tires and the throttle control sensor which doesn't cost that much even though the parts are from benelli.

The thing is it competes in a very tight market against well known household names, so by keeping it 125cc it gives u an amazing retro look for the price of a basic city scooter for around 3000-4000$. Beef up the specs and youre looking at 6-7k, which for a relatively new brand is yikes

Brixton recent announced in my country bringing 3 variant of 150cc. What caught my attention is the Scrambler ver that comes with off road tires and Moto handlebar. Since I already have a sportsbike, I was thinking of getting a slightly off road machines to commute to work that is about 12km away and able to go off road but doesn't want to pay too much maintenance. Kawasaki KLX150 was my first choice but it is about 1/3 more expansive than this Brixton 150cc scrambler. May I know if the build quality is reliable enough for off roading occasionally and not fall apart easily?
@D3Sshooter6 жыл бұрын
yuunjac , that is a very good question. I have no idea , but looking at the cafe racer i would tend to say medium quality. But then again , that is not the same as a dirt bike. That is a bit more demanding. On that basis, i would opt for a more well known type like Beta. But i cant assure anything as i have not had the brixton long enough. I see negative and positive answers on the brixton quality. But often its more an emotional statement without facts. Maybe someone will answer
@yuunjac6 жыл бұрын
Will try to find sometime to go see the actual bike. I doubt they would let me rest ride it or even bring it off roading. My biggest concern is the reliability and getting replacement parts. I wouldn't want to strandle somewhere in the woods or waited too long to get replacement parts. Hope someone here who owns it and brought it off roading xan justify of it's capability.
@D3Sshooter6 жыл бұрын
yuunjac spare parts are easy. There is even a link in the comments as for off road. I have strong doubts that it is suitable. All depending how serious your off road. Is. Ask for a test ride all you can get is no. Good luck

Meh. I'm a big guy and I bought a small bike. A 150 Wolf. It's really not so bad. I mean, it all depends on what you want but I really like smaller retro bikes. It's totally up to you but if you did want something a little smaller and has a little more power, you might look into Buccaneers. If you're not hung up on owning a name brand. Some of the name brands make 250's that aren't that expensive too. But I get it. Some people just want a big bike and that's fine too.

I'm looking to get one. Recently in Malaysia's just release 150cc Brixton. So how do i differentiate it from 125cc? Since the design bit same. Any advice so tht i didn't get being fraud?

Aerul Nua , hi. Those are the same engines. The cylinder is just a bit more bored out and small adaptations to the ecu

So, have you bought the bike? I am also from Malaysia and I think i might buying this bike for daily work purpose.
@SolidNua5 жыл бұрын
@@BoBBaB0oN Nahh.. Not yet. The price for this bike bit ridiculous for 150cc. If you compare it with Yamaha FZ150i which you can get one cheap and not being worry for the spare part. Plus the price worth to get 200cc or 250cc. My advice' you need to consider it well before get it one. Try look into Mudah.my. i found 2unit sell as 2nd hand. Don't shock when u see the price differences. Both bike still new by the way.

2600 euros are not a huge sum, and as bike looks its really nice, but at that price it's easy to get a japanese bike brand new. problem is that they don't look as good as this. all this little 125 that we have nowadays look ugly to me, with huge bug like headlights a designed to look like there bigger siblings. there is the new Honda 125r cafe lookish bike, but that will cost you at least another 1000 euros.
@D3Sshooter6 жыл бұрын
ripmax333 indeed, and that is why i have one. It looks good and is so far not bad at all. Of course it stays a 125cc. Rumours have that a 500 cc will come out. A bit Mad Max style

How's the chrome keeping up after those years?
@ItsDoctorAmatic4 ай бұрын
Didn't gave a huge lot of attention to the chrome parts of my Brixton in the 3 years I have it. And of course after that time it started to show. But after giving it a fast and simple polish the parts with visible shortcomings (like front fender, chain protection, exhaust) looked like new. Other chrome parts on the other hand never had any "issues" at all. All in all I feel with a proper maintenance here and there the bike will last much much longer than one might think.
