what crimes exactly do you believe he deserves to go to prison for? the reality is that most of these indictments are for minor things that have been pushed up to felonies by liberal DA's with an agenda. Take the case last month with him overvaluing his property as a good example. this is something literally everyone who has ever sold their house has done yet the DA wants to put Trump in jail for it???? Or this current Document trial. The Trump organization is a private company so as long as the IRS get's their cut he can basically do whatever he wants with those funds. Trump is not going to prison people. The prosecution's entire case hinges on the testimony of Mr Cohen who the defense did a good job of discrediting. Also, something that MSNBC never reported on was the testimony of the accountant. She actually testified that she put the payment through as "legal services" because she thought that was the best category and never actually told Mr Trump about it.

If a defendant has no prior criminal convictions, and the crime in question was not violent, judges almost always sentence them on the lenient side of the guidelines. He could get probation.

Standard jury instructions say the opposite. The decision not to testify on your own behalf is no way evidence of guilt. Juries are instructed not to consider that.

IF he is found guilty, it will be up to the Judge whether he serves time or not. The Judge will be held to certain rules and protocols here and can't just let him walk away if he has been found guilty. It will be then either a probation order, fine OR a custodial sentence; the latter being most likely due to the fact that Cohen served 3 years for a lesser offence. The Judge will be aware of that. I see Trump getting 1 year at least.
