DA42 | Gloucester to Jersey | IFR

Жыл бұрынWe fly DA42 G-SUEM from Gloucester to Jersey IFR. Departure is into low IFR conditions having checked for departure alternates above minimums.
Approach into Jersey is a vectored ILS to runway 08.
Aircraft is equipped for Flight Into Known Icing and has a GFC700 autopilot and G1000 suite of avionics.
IFR routes generated using Autorouter.aero. Garmin Pilot is used on the iPad in flight as an Electronic Flight Bag for charts (IFR and VFR), approach plates, airfield and airspace information, weather etc.

Looks like nice videos. Came here due to a suggestion from YT when watching one Micke Lang's ferry flight videos. (He's one of Diamond's ferry pilots) Subbed at 151 subs. (Lowest sub channel I've ever subscribed to. :-)

1:40 Wow, amazing view of a departure into low IMC! As an aside, are you happy to be fiddling with knobs below 500' AGL on an IFR departure like that? I would prefer to concentrate on the instruments until 500' or even higher.

Here, you were subject to a procedure 2 minute departure separation from the jet ahead. Not because of the wake :) awesome vid :)

Good info thanks! Our primary consideration departing behind the jet is wake, but you are correct this was separation related.

Mostly cut out. I may do a video at some point with the various different checks in.
