Freedive with William Trubridge and me through this wreck - can you hold your breath the whole time?

It's freediving legend @williamtrubridge 's first time visiting the famous Zenobia wreck, so of course I have to show him the cafeteria, the spooky hallway and the very narrow exits. See if you can hold your breath with us the whole way, and let us know in the comments how far you got!

yes - also much smaller than the camera I'm used to, which makes the dive a bit easier

Daan, love the idea to follow along the dive! I'd typically need a bit more warm-up for a 1 : 50 breath-hold, but managed with a couple of contractions 🙂 The distraction of the dive makes it easier to keep your mind of it - I definitely welcome more of this! Bedankt! 🙂

Managed to hold the whole time, surprisingly without contractions, despite the short breath-up. But laying down, and not swimming. Amazing video!

@@DaanVerhoeven Thanks! Was close to the first contraction, and in total rest, but yes. Not sure if I could have managed the actual dive, though (going into an overhead situation at 25m? Not sure, never did that). That is another mental game.

yeah, I've been coming to this wreck a few years now, and this was the first time I tried this longer route - I've done shorter versions of it

Well I made the breath, but in reality I'd just be happy to free dive around the outside ☺ Really great lighting so maybe if there was larger entry and exists I would pop in with SCUBA 🙂

Great great video/experience! I got here just after breakfast on my desktop, and the breath hold was kind of uncomfortable, had the first contraction about min and half and luckily you decided to surface not long after!! haha loved the concept, thank you and keep it up!! :)

Man! This is such a cool idea! It was super fun! I wasn't prepared at all of it but I tried anyway and looking at the video made it so much easier to get to the end! I usually perform much better when I'm diving, I can get a bit more nervous than I'd want when I do statics and often I get early contractions, but I didn't during this video even though it caught me by surprise! Absolutely love it!!!

Круто сделали про задержи дыхание, когда я плавал в бассейне 2 года, я мог проплыть 15 метров на одном дыхании. А щас продышался низом и верхом легких и легко продержал 1 минуту 10 секунд, правда это сидя и без движения. Но все равно неплохо.

For the record, I lasted exactly 66 seconds without breathing. For an accurate comparison, sitting in a chair and after careful oxygenation. So my admiration for you is multiplied by the number of seconds I couldn't keep up underwater, let alone in motion. Multiplied by 66.

yes, that was my main concern as well, first time I tried. And I had one time where I almost lost a fin. So I do this dive with safeties that can come get me in the wreck

How do you equalize your mask with a nose clip? Do you just keep the nose clip loose enough that your frenzel can push air into your mask but only after your ears are equalized?

yes, only then it's a simultaneous process, so my mask is constantly equalised and I'm using the nose clip to provide enough back pressure to eq my ears against that.
