As an Iraqi myself, yes guys, this is true, as soon as they see you are a guest, you are in for the best hospitality there is. And if you want to see even more of this, you should go somewhere rural, and you will be amazed. Thank you for showing our good sides. Western media has not been kind to us, the simple good honest everyday Iraqi people.

I'm an Iraqi based in London and I LOVE seeing people come and visit from abroad. You guys slipped straight into the swing of things and were friendly and open with everyone. Great to see. Looks like the escorts you had took good care of you. Iraqis are always going to refuse payment. You really have to insist (ie drop the money and run away lol).

1:50 Molly, this is NOT cheese 😊 it's thick natural cream, like the extra thick cream we have here in Tesco and S'bury's but natural and organic, actually it's water buffalo cream from the south of the country I believe unique to Iraq and probably the only dairy product of its kind in the whole world. They eat it at breakfast with jam or date syrup, or with Kahi the one you're having which is sort of puff pastry similar to croissant or apple turnover. Enjoy😍

The most beautiful thing in Iraq, the Iraqis will never come after tourists bothering them to buy from them and they just want to welcome strangers. I recomand you to come to visit Iraq in Karbalaa in the month of "Moharam" when people visit The grandson of the Prophet Muhammad "Hussien". You will see people will go walking from the north and the south to the city of Karblaa and everything will be free in everywhere. "Highly recommended"

that was really amazing! that street the most famous street in iraq. you should visit north iraq, Erbil specifically, and ask to eat pacha for breakfast. also Erbil is really nice modern city

Exceptional hospitality shown by the Iraqi people. Have you been able to try the shisha yet? The guy in the coffee shop offered you one. Pity you didn't try. While living in Egypt, I got hooked on the stuff for half a year. I was smoking three a day, all day! Never had such fun going through the various flavours. My favourite was chocolate, sometimes mixed with mint. Inshallah, I'll smoke again when I have the opportunity.

Fun fact.... More than 15 years ago this street you were walking on was covered in dead bodies😐... eeehhh...Iraq is a country of surprises... One day it becomes a paradise full of happiness and love, and the next day it becomes an unbearable hell filled with horror, sadness and fear... Every day is different... Sometimes I hate it and sometimes I am grateful that I was born and live in it.... Anyway... happy trip😊
