Hello friends, today I bring you a video that I really wanted you to see, I'm talking about the Detto pietro golden wheel. A very little known bicycle that apart from this beautiful Campagnolo 50th anniversary groupset. Like any fan of classic cycling, it is a luxury for me to have this group in my hands and above all to show it to all of you. I give thanks for the day I came across this bike.

Hola amigos, hoy os traigo un video que tenia muchas ganas de que vierais, estoy hablando de la Detto pietro golden wheel. Una bicicleta muy poco conocida y que aparte lleva este precioso grupo campagnolo 50 aniversario. Como todo fan del ciclismo clásico para mi es un lujo poder tener este grupo en mis manos y sobre todo enseñaros lo a todos vosotros. Doy gracias por el día en que me encontré con esta bicicleta.

When I started the hobby 32 years ago, the first ever Italian bike I saw was a Detto (fitted with Campagnolo Athena 7speed) at a local bicycle store............. it was gorgeous and expensive. Love your build, it's an absolute dream bike.

I never knew that a Detto Pietro BIKE ever existed, and I've been into serious cycling/racing for 52 years now! When I started in 1970, the 'go-to' SHOE which everyone rode was the stiff leather out-soled Dettos, all black leather, laces, and the slotted metal cleats which were NAILED into said outer sole. We used to ride them a few miles without cleats just to get a line imprint in the leather from the pedal 'cage' rear plate, then aligned the slot of the cleat with this when nailing it to the shoe. 'Tech' that all of the young'uns and newbies never knew existed! LOL

@@dansprague2 Yes, you were very fortunate, as those were very hard to come by, at least in the metro NYC area where I was at that time. Many wanted those kicks as every mid-career pic of King Eddy showed him riding with the iconic '3 stripes' shoes, (even if they were something else and those stripes were just sewn on!??).

I still have and occasionally use Detto Pietro shoes with my 1983 Pearson with 1959 Universal Brakes ! Galli Roller bearing chainset and Edco roller bearing headset. Disappointed to see such a classic machine support on the bike work stand using the top tube ! Trust it survived the imposed strain .

Esos cuadros y accesorios Campagnolo eran verdaderas obras de arte. Cuando uno abría una caja con algunos de esos accesorios parecían piezas de joyeria. Y los cuadros, la linea,los racores, las terminaciones eran increibles. Todo tiempo pasado fue mejor.

Hello Carolina! I think, Detto Pietro from Milano made this frame. Only groupset is Campagnolo -made.

Looks like a Billato built frameset. The treatment of the stays to ends, the seatstay bridge, the seatstay caps and the beautifully squared finishing of the seat lug relief are all identical to my Billato built Mondial, other than the name on the caps, of course. Love your work, as always.

Hola Rodrigo!!! Gracias me alegra mucho de que te haya gustado el vídeo. A tu pregunta, te respondo. Puede ser que te refieras a que tienes muy poco recorrido? Si es así es por qué has ajustado mucho los frenos. Otra cosa que puede ser, es que al cortar la funda de freno, no la hayas cortado bien y te haya quedado alguna recaba de hierro de la funda tocando el cable de freno y haciendo fricción. También puedes hacer otra cosa que es meter aceite de máquina de coser o vaselina en el cable para que este no tenga tanta fricción en el interior. Cualquier cosa dímelo por Instagram o mándame un vídeo. Por qué sin verlo es dificil saberlo. Un saludo amigo ; )

Es ist ein sehr schönes Rad, und die Arbeit mit Campa hat sich gelohnt. Natürlich fehlt noch ein original Campa Flaschenhalter, um es perfekt zu machen. Warum auch nicht?

My OCD has been triggered by the fact that you installed the headset spacer upside down and you installed an improper rear derailleur cable housing end (the part that fits into the derailleur). Otherwise, a really nice build, using proper tools and attention to details.

Hello, you are right! sometimes my desire to see them mounted play tricks on me. But I always try to do my best. Tenho duas bicicletas de estrada, uma quadro e gargo Columbus de aco cromo, CAMPAGNOLO SUPER RECORD, a outra, quadro e garfo de aco cromo molibdenio, tambem grupo CAMPAGNOLO CHORUS, quadro Tange Japones, so o quadro garfo e a caixa de direcao e caixa de centro pesam 1 quilo e 250 gramas. So uso CAMPAGNOLO. SOU UM CICLISTA VETERANO. Um lembrete, nao vendo por dinheiro nenhum, ja quiseram trocar por bicicletas de fibra de carbono. Nem dei atencao.

This bike was really easy to assemble kzfaq.infoUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA and required very few adjustments out of the box. The wheels did not require any truing/adjustments. The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.

Hola Edwin!!! Yo si fuera tu probaría a mirar por tiendas de bicicletas que puedan tener este tipo de material. Luego no se si en Colombia, habrá alguna app de segundamano donde puedas encontrar piezas de este tipo a un precio asequible. Si no la ultima opción es Ebay, pero las piezas valen mucho mas. Not getting here , its vintage bike so BB thread is established yeah , so why run tap through? and as far as i can see , no cutting oil? retaping would have been my last resort, clean threads with paraffin or petrol, then " try fit " BB cups, if dont fit OK then retap, just saying . Each time you retap you are damaging thread.

Wow, this is a great built, the Campagnolo parts look prestine! For my taste the frame color is too much, there are too many stickers, nameplates, gravure (e. g on the stem), distracting from the Campy theme. If I would go for skin wall tires and the brown brakehood, I would try to match my bar tape and saddle with a (light) brown color. And sorry, there are still traditional bottle cages available...Just saying.

Yes you are right, but the owner wanted to leave it as his grandfather had it, that's why we didn't remove any of the stickers. A greeting and thank you for leaving me your comment ; )

Mam pytanie techniczne. Czy suport shimano na kwadrat, będzie pasował do korb campagnolo? Mam do kupienia ładne korby, lecz nie mogę znaleźć suportu, z gwintami bsa.

I spend tooo much time on these beautiful bike links - and every time the story goes: the hero introduces the campagnolo tool to the heroine, making 'her' beautiful all over again, complete with greased up seat tube and bottom bracket action. FFS please make this less boring and, less obviously, wankerish
