I'm 64 years old and I still feel it from over 50 years back. You hear it so much that you do believe it. Healing is possible but is difficult for us to deal with life's issues because of what happens in our past. I regret things I did and said when I was very young. I can't be a phony anymore. I want to be real.

Me and my friend were once talking about how in society, you had to be the same as others to be accepted and he told me "You see I believe life's biggest accomplishment is managing to be different in a world that demands you be the same" and it changed me forever, I wasn't trying to be the same as everyone anymore, I didn't try to be fake, instead- I wanted to be different, to be unique and to be myself

This almost made me tear up. I always used to get bullied just because I was the quiet kid, a loner. So everybody believed they could push me around and do what they wanted with me. Even when I was around others. And when I tried to fight back and stand up for myself, I was always the bad guy. I really hated school, everyone and myself and still hate school to this day, years after my graduation. The worst part is, that when I changed schools, I've been bullied again. Not only with words like I was used to. Because I was different. Because I was already weak and broken by my past and just managed to let it go. Just to repeat everything again. But that time, it was 1000 times worse. And it still hurts to this day. And changed me forever. This man speaks the pure truth. We should really stop judging and turning on others just because they are "different", not knowing what they are going through. But of course "it's just a joke" and you are just "too sensitive and emotional and overreacting." You never know how much you can hurt and change one person's life, even many years later, when you might have forgotten the person you bullied. But they won't forget you. I honestly dont know how I managed to find the strengh to keep going. I broke down and wanted to give up so many times and still do. Not everybody has that strengh. And I wish I had the strengh to at least have a fake smile and hide my pain behind it. It still makes me angry and tear up every time, I hear about bullying, what somebody must go through, I went through. Don't be a blind follower. Your words, your act of kindness, can change one person's life.

I remember being the bully and the victim. I remember being such a horrible little girl in first grade that it still doesn't escape my memory and hopefully never will. I bullied this new kid in my class, Dustin, for half or more of the school year thinking just like those kids. "Everyone is doing it!" "It's okay! No harm done!" I was fine with that. Everyone called him names behind teachers backs and even threw things at him. I joined in. Until I realized at 6-7 years old of what he just went through. His grandfather just passed away. It broke my heart because I couldn't imagine my grandfather dying yet at such a young age. Then, the meanest bully laughed at his lost and I was furious at him and me. At all the kids. So I thought it over and I walked up to him and apologized for everything. I still feel so much regret and also being proud that I stood up to what's right. I'm 21 and I still remember him and my actions before and after. In my first year at third grade, at a new school. I was bullied so badly. On the bus. In class. On the playground. Everywhere. The teacher didn't seem to care. I didn't care. It got even more bad when I had bad lice and my biological mother shaved my head. I literally had to retake third grade because I let the bullying get to me. I was bullied so badly, I was trying to stay home at all costs. I didn't care about school or anything. After I was held back, I was ashamed, but I met people who were kind and just nice to me. Didn't call me names. I made friends and that made my morals more strong. I made friends and was kind with everyone that I could. No matter the looks or style or anything. I wanted to help and be kind. My morals were strengthened after I found out about Dustin. Even more so after knowing what it actually feels like to be the victim. Yes, I do make mistakes, but I have always tried and done my best to be more open and less society based. I broke off my friendship with a girl due to her cruelty to others in 7th and 8th grade, after giving her a second chance. I stood up to her and walked away, even though she was nice to me and we did have fun. Even though she was the only girl who had ever invited me over to her place and we had sleepovers. I told her I can't be around someone that's a bully. Being nice can go a long way.

I was first made to feel out of group then verbally haraased by class students since 2nd grade, when I joined new school, and started to wear a plastic smile from grade 5 and onwards till class 12th. Only in college for moments I felt compassion and a little acceptance from People, and there I started to develop and recogonize strengths in me. I wish School Students had a Compulsory subject from KinderGarden to High School and College on Moral Sciences & Behaviours.

The plastic smile is something I have every day in school, The reason is that I don’t have friends who cares about me but they care about every other person in my class, I had really good friends who cared about me but that’s all a fantasy now it was so long ago, I can’t remember it all my good friends moved to Norway, Australia, and another part of my country, every time when school is over I here everyone talk to each other: Do you want to do something?, Hey, Do you want to go to the café? .Every one in my class asks each other if they want to do something...but no one has ever asked me that, every time I’m coming home. I feel lonely I have depression, I wonder why is no one asking me if I want to do something? And this is how my life has been the last 4 years.

Jake A So your the kid who pointed the finger and laughed at the over weight kid! You just have to know what kind of medicine he was on because you know everything! You don’t know who this person was, but you can diagnose the kid with low self esteem! Congratulations, you get an A because you provided a wonderful example of this mans talking points. I find it sad that you can’t except an explanation. Who cares why the kid was over weight. The point is cruel people like you were making fun of him. You were the bully. You are still a bully. You have to see his training routine! NO you don’t, it’s none of your business. Many kids live in horrible conditions and don’t have access to good food. Yet you judge this kid! I work in a school and I see your kind all the time. You need to listen to this video again because you did not understand this mans message.

@@bobp1016 you misunderstood completely. I'm empathetic, a trait learnt not born with and I feel for others. So ofc I don't bully, never have but I wasn't also raised in a toxic environment, it was hard yes but not toxic. My mother and father split due to a toxicity and both financially did it tough, more so my mother raising me and being overly nice is a sacrifice. So don't be a fool and assume the worse because people have an understanding of what's going on, that doesn't make them lacking in emotion. Your whole reply is nothing but hearing something you don't like, jumping to a conclusion and believing it. You are pathetic and should learn understanding first before judgement. @@jakea3950 Greetings! Your own playlist suggests that you really appreciate MOTIVATIONAL MESSAGES. Cool. You also said, "I'm empathetic." Bob P's point is that by initially questioning the 'training routine' of a 13-year-old kid with medical issues, and wanting to see 'the actual information on the meds' you aren't showing empathy or compassion. In addition, your words, "It's so easy to say oh the meds make me overweight" pretty much accuse the kid of making excuses. Without knowing anything about this 13-year-old, you've already diagnosed him with 'low self esteem'. It's very easy to see why Bob P came to the conclusion that he did. Empathy and compassion go a long way. Blessings to you. 🙏🏾

@@marklbrown I should also add I was the overweight kid in primary school. About this kids age before highschool I started cooking my own meals and training because I wanted it to change and guess what it did. Empowering someone is the best thing you can do, not to simply agree with their problems but to explore with them. My experience and my opinion. I empower my clients/patients today and it works.

I wish this kind of speech would be told every year for every school for every age. In kindergarten, the kids are too young to understand but when they enter school they can, but also we need to learn this for everywhere we go in Work in society.

U know i no realised that in elementary 4th grade there was a girl that no one liked I didnt make fun if her at least from what I remembered I just asked for a pencil once in a while but kids made fun of her, then there was a kid in 5th his name was francisco and if he touched anyone they would say stay away from him cause he has "the touch" now I feel bad I didnt call him anything I just stayed away when that happened and just now i feel really bad about it, their is another one too in 3rd grade I think or 4th again their was this girl who was born with her mouth slightly slanted and everyone said she stinked and I remember being petrified amd not wanting to sit were she sat bc I thought it was disgusting or that it was some sorta desease I could catch......I went from the innocent bean to the bystander and to the follower if I could see each one of them rn I would say sorry u didnt deserve what they did to you and I wish I wouldve stepped in and im sorry I just stood by amd watched as your whole world kept falling apart and I hope you can forgive me and if you cant im sorry but can I get another chance?

I was bullied in high school because in 8th grade i had a brain aneurism. Couldnt speak english, couldnt walk properly, i was the speacial kid. I have motivated myself to get my ged and talk pretty good now. I truly can careless of the words i have heard from peoples words. Im not the idiot kid anymore, ive overcome it. Let the padt stay in the past and the present stay in the present. For other people having pain i hope you know your better than what others have count you as.

Being normal is something that I had been trying to do for years. I then realized, not being noticed, not being thought of, being made fun of, being deceived, being faked out, and worst of all, being harmed, can get so forced into your head, that it FEELS normal. I always knew I was weird, but I once realized that it isn’t RIGHT to be made fun of... because you’re not normal. Because you have next to no friends.
