We ended up exchanging this model for the slimmer version kzfaq.infoUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQU because it was too wide for the only door trim area that made sense to mount it on. However, we should have just noted the dimensions prior to purchasing. Otherwise, we love the doorbell. It works perfectly, and the video is very clear, even at night.

I just installed one in my horses stall at the board barn 16 miles away. The battery only lasts about 3 weeks though. Im going to get the wired plug in camera eventually. It's interesting how much a horse actually doesn't sleep at night. And no, I don't talk to him through it. He'd panic looking for me. I didn't have an angle kit and only had two angle wall mounts that I had to stack. I went to the hardware store and bought some long wood screws.

With the wedge kit are you able to put the actual ring inside a protective case so no one can steal the doorbell?
