tbf, that should be a yearly tradition for troops and their DI's... one evening where they can atempt to make the DI crack, without repercussions. The DI who holds out the longest can have the honor of having the title. Dry Instructor

CMC got business to tend as well. No doubts though on what you said. Skipper like that gotta be solid. Anyone that will publicly cut up ain't no stranger to working hard in my experience. Some of them ultra hard folk make me uneasy contemplating the honest and genuine effort runs as deep.

The Commanding Officer, responsible for EVERY SINGLE ASPECT (both professional AND personal) for anywhere from 400 to 5,000 men? You BETTER BELIEVE he does. When someone gets into trouble and tries to explain their motives... omg some of the stories you will hear--but it is SERIOUS business at that point and you better NEVER laugh.

Wouldn't be my first choice for Engineering types. The lightweight blue coveralls were bad enough, and it was overlooked when we "forgot" to wear an actual uniform under them. Those cammies just don't look like they would be comfortable with temps over 100F and humidity not much less. Joyful memories of a 600-PSI steam plant...

Were just still figuring things out. Recruiting young talent is a beast. And command climate ain't something can be left in the tank. Gotta keep pushing forward in a uniform. We can't just quit or go work at the building across the base because it's getting rough. Find a way to make it work. FITFO

Either those jokes flew over my head, or they were astoundingly BEYOND lame. I understood a few of them, but even those were super lame, with the exception of just a couple, such as the FRENCH FRY joke.
