I have to mention that I dont believe the line "the day you put out a hits the day Diddy admits that he put the hit out that got Pac killed" doesnt mean literally a "hit to have him murdered" it means that Diddy produced Biggies song "who shot ya" which ultimately only fueled the East Coast/West Coast rivalry which in theory lead to Pac's death. EM worded it as "he put the hit out" meaning he allowed the song to be released knowing it would cause problems, just as Diddy gave the OK for MGK to put Rap Devil out... knowing he would be killed, lyrically in return. Again, so many layers to just 1 line.

Love you guys! Let me posit this though because I feel like this "beef" has grappled me in a way that no other has. I think that Eminem is not that mad about the MGK response because it was so generic. It was all theater from a confused and hurt kid that put a lot of dressing on some "old guy" jokes. We were all frothing at the mouth for a response, so Em gave us a calm, level-headed indictment of the diss, in a way, like he is explaining it to a child. It''s not effective to educate your kids by screaming at them right? The second thing I think you have to acknowledge is that it is IMPOSSIBLE to catch all the layers embedded in each bar on a first listen, which doesn't work for REACTION videos because you need gasoline instead of (some chemical that is a long, slow burn), to analyze the lyrics before you respond. That is what this song is; a long slow burn. You won't get a dramatic reaction out of it, and I think it was engineered that way. That is the final layer of this multi-tiered burn: It gives you fire for days. It is worth it, by the way, to go back and comb through Em's lyrics, even if you are on his side already. More important if you are not though.
