John Webster Its not just about sales. The best MC's always have him in their top 5. If you ask hip hop fans whats the best hip hop album ever. 9 out of 10 times they'll say Illmatic and it took 7 years to go platinum. Jay-Z has 20 plus Grammys and Nas has 0 but when they went head to head with The Takeover and Ether. Who won? You can clearly say Nas has the most votes on that one.

John Webster so you're basing the best MC just from record sells and accolades? The Grammys voting process are far from being a fair assessment as to who should be nominated in the 1st place. Like you said sales play a part, right? But what about Jay-Z's 4:44 album? It sold 1mil in less than a week but then at the second week it only sold about 50,000(not sure exactly but its somewhere around that). The only reason he went platinum at all was because Sprint bought 1mil copies and gave it to their customers for free with some promotion thing. If it wasnt for Sprint I dont think he would even hit gold. Jay did this before with Samsung awhile back too. I forgot which album but I think it was Magna Carta. With those sales, that helped him with radioplay, charting and essentially getting nominated. And its all because the voting members dont know anything about hip hop. They just go off of whats popular. Thats how Drakes Hotline Bling won the Grammy for best rap song and he doesnt even rap in it. I'm not saying Jay is trash. He's dope and I like how he doesnt write any of his raps down either. I'm just saying that accolades shouldnt be a factor when determining who the top 5 dead or alive are. Jay just does songs that are good for radio play. As Jay and Talib Kweli put it... "If skills sold, truth be told, I'd probably be lyrically Talib Kweli Truthfully I wanna rhyme like Common Sense But I did 5mil. King green is is a member of rdgldgrn (red gold green) they are from washington dc. He's a rapper/producer.the grouo makes indie gogo whicb is a fusiin of indie rock dc gogo, and they have some hip hop thrown in.

Lootin' in london is my favorite, karnival is good, i love lamp, and doing the most would be a good mix. Lootin' in london is a good example of the rap fusion but the are mostly indie gogo on their songs. However. As a solo artist king green raps a lot. He was even on the power soundtrack.
