You see that there are 5 matches of Tier1 teams playing faceit spring 2014 league, fighting for points - they need them to advance to LAN finals. You turn on twitch, where you hear Bardolph and DDK casting... This is your everyday. Life's good.

It’s 2014. You open up CSGO. You see that there is a new case. You don’t have money to buy and open a new case. You beg your dad to give you some money so you can open at least 1 case. Your father gives you a strict condition. For exchange of money, you’ll have to get A+ in all subjects. You agree. You open the case. You get a covert rifle. The design looks cool. You play with it all day. Then suddenly next day something happens to your computer. Your parents don’t have enough money to fix it. You stop playing CSGO. Then you have the obligation to get A+ in all your classes. So you study hard. You forget about gaming. You study day and night. You get A+ in all classes. You forget about gaming. You forget about CSGO. You forget about that nice cool skin that you unlocked. You make new friends that summer. You hangout with them. You play soccer with them. Time flies by. Your parents don’t have the money to fix the computer. But you don’t care. None of your friends game, so you give up on the computer. Fast forward to 2018. You graduate and get a job. You finally have enough money to buy a new computer. Just for memories, you download steam. You download CSGO. You can’t believe you haven’t played this game in 4 years. You boot up the game. Everything feels different. You go to your inventory. You finally see the cool skin that you unlocked. Just out of curiosity, you check how much the skin is selling for. Your jaw drops. That skin is worth almost your PC. Fast forward to 2024. You still haven’t sold the skin. It is still your most favourite skin. When you tell your father how much you spent to open the case and get the skin vs how much it is worth today, your dad laughs it off. Doesn’t believe you. But you are happy with your skin. You don’t wanna sell it no matter how much it is selling for. R.I.P. CSGO. Thanks for giving me a Howl.

The only game in my life I've "learnt". A game I was invested in the eSports, watched majors, rushed home from College to play, was through Every update, played in teams, went to LANS, Met some online friends I still talk to, to this day, Was through all the controversies, all the gambling sites, scams, evolution of the maps, sounds, skins, a game I have almost a year of my life in play time alone in. The game I played non stop through college. You don't think back then it would be a point you look back at a game and think I remember moments from 10 Years ago and all the memories along the way. CS:GO really is something. A game I've grow and change as I've grown as a person myself. Great video.

2015-2016 was peak CSGO memories. Especially summertime CS lobbies with friends were golden.

Man where did the time go, it's so nostalgic but also so wild to me. I'm 30 now, I was still in university for a lot of those clips, it's so crazy to think it's almost a decade since I went to a local theater with a friend to watch the CS major between FNC and Envy on a bit of a whim (we had played CS as kids and casually played CSGO) and was immediately hooked to CS esports.

You have touched my feelings, I shall return for nostalgia. Until then, stay safe my fellow internet users.

2015-2017 csgo was one of the greatest peaks of any multiplayer game ever

As a mac user this is even more touching as i havent been able to play cs2 - genuine emotion from a videogame is hard to bring about, and yet i doubt there's a CS player out there that hasn't been brought to joy and brought to tears

GO was such a big part of my life for so many years, never stopped playing it, always tried to get better, always wanted to go pro. When you say a video game has been a huge part in your life, something that taught you lessons that you'll never forget, people look at you like you're crazy or stupid. CSGO has helped me make friends, given me something to be happy about, and so much more. I'll never forget any of these clips and I'll never forget what GO gave me for so many years. I just regret I didn't fully appreciate the golden age of CS that I was living in. No idea why this video made me emotional, but salute CSGO. You will never be forgotten.

Honestly I cried a tear, I think I watched most of those clips live The Happy deagle ace hit me the hardest, it was late night in France and was looking at the stream on the phone and I just stood up in the bed, shooked, as it happens and screamed silently to not wake up my parents Good times, had no one to share it the day but now i'm so happy it happens ! ive played csgo from 2014, and obtained 10500 hours. many thoughts, energy, and patience you had to learn along the way. im pretty sure i will always play cs until im too old to do it :D im grateful i can still play gran turismo with my dad today, who was so open to introduce me into gaming.

Really good edit. Honestly ever since cs2 released I've been missing csgo a lot. Obviously a lot of it is dumb changes they've made that I can't wrap my head around like making every comp map it's own ranking making it even more difficult to q against people around the same skill level as you if you don't just pump one map, especially with friends, taking away classic maps especially from wingman (I miss wingman cobblestone probably more than anything else) and the old weapon wheel. Aside from all of that I just miss csgo. I'm nostalgic for the lower quality textures. The old maps even if they get brought back into cs2 eventually. I'm nostalgic for the game I'd play with my friends every time they'd be available. The game I'd solo queue in because nobody else was on and added probably a good half of my steam friends over. Cs2 brought a lot of good to the game, in my opinion more bad than good, but still brought good. For some reason, them ditching the title for cs2 makes me feel nostalgic to the time when the beta was barely opening to a random handfuls of people and I was playing more csgo than I had in a couple years just hoping to see the new smokes for myself. A time when I could still play the original csgo I knew so well. An ode to you CS:GO, you cyka blyat Now go and rush B

i don't think that cs:go was only about cybersport like in this video... you know, those moments when some major game changes appeared, like the first week after the release of R8, like some unbelievable boosts on overpass, like m4a1/m4a4 meta changes, like the release of a new case or operation, like your first expensive week drop or case drop, like your first global in mm or vl10 on faceit, like a new friend which you encountered in game, like a new personal record of kills in game, like a cool evening spent with your friends in game, like a hard stuck on specific rang for several months, like a major win/lose streak... like a good youth spent in the good game that was the csgo which i memorize...
