Proud papa. Nice job on his old tractor. I have watched every one of your Allis Chalmers B videos, and really enjoyed them all. I am currently going thru an Allis C I bought a few months ago, that needs quite a bit of work to make it reliable, and found your videos extremely helpful.

Yes, he is! And thanks, that's why I did it. There wasn't any detailed vids on here when I was researching to do this restoration, so I decided to add some. Made the project take a little longer but worth it.

Hi I’m a subscriber to your channel and I’m currently restoring a 47 c Allis Chalmers and I’m trying to find out how you pulled the hub off the bull gear shaft I’ve gone through your videos but I must have missed it any advice would be appreciated thanks

That was a tough one. I did it off video before I realized i was going to film it all. If you look at the time laps disassembly you can see me attach a home made puller to the left hub but give up. How i got it off was use that home.made puller to put tension on it and then hit the hub hard with a sledge hammer next to the hub and it popped loose.its a taper fit so it takes a bit of vibration from the hammer and it will pop off.

I am using the Tisco paint with hardener as you did. After the first coat, I read that you have to wait 8-12 hours for the second coat. That is very unusual for all the painting i have done. the paint should be completely dry by then, so do you have to and it down again? Most everything i have ever painted got a coat, wait til tacky, then another coat and so on. did you wait that long between coats? Jim

I did have to play with the thinner ratio to get it spraying good with my gun. Cheap harbor freight stuff.

@@JPN76 i have several guns and one really good one. 8:1 was perfect mix. Sure brightened up on the second coat after 4.5 hours. I couldnt wait any longer!!

One more question. On my B, when I removed the front end from the engine/frame, I found that the aft pivot point had a bronze bushing in it. (The pin was worn out of course) Pleasant surprise, but no access to grease or oil. Did you have that bushing? I intend to replace it, but did not see any to buy, so Ii will turn one on the lathe. Did yours have a grease zerk or oil hole? Sure would make that pin last longer.
