Maybe it's because I'm a dad too... But I really struggled with my iPhone. Whenever I needed one app to use data from another app I had to email that data to myself! And It took me a year to realize I can swap from the bottom as well as from the top, because you had to start the swipe from waaaay down for it to work. This phone is just not user friendly. And I'm a software engineer with Linux as my main operating system, heck, I even have Ubuntu installed on my Android inside a container.... But, yeah, I'm a dad...

@@HotboxedCoffin That's true, but my father's iPhone 5S doesn't support Hey Siri. He just starts all his requests with the phrase while still having to hold the home button, sort of like an unnecessary formality. He'll also hold the button and tell it "thank you" if it does the job right.

I sympathize with this so much, but my mother lives two hours away and I am a grown ass adult, and when something goes wrong she blames me. I train dogs professionally and she competes in agility/obedience, and every so often I'll get a call along the lines of, "MY DOGS ARE INSANE AND THEY WON'T LISTEN WHEN I SCREAM AND WHY THE HECK WON'T THEY DO WHAT I WANT, YOU NEED TO COME HERE AND FIX THEM NOW. My mom was the same with pcs in the beginning but now she can use it like a normal person, they just need a bit (up to 2 hrs)of help at the beginning. She has a friend which once had "viruses" on her pc, so she asked me for help. I get there and ofc its a ton of questionable addons and software (still dont know how she managed to install so much crap), so i uninstalled it, after im done her son comes home.. At this point i was kinda angry already (i mean why the fuck does she ask me when she has a son who could help her or runs the stupidity throughout the family?) so i got out of there asap before i said something honest.
