"Around The World" music video from back in the 90's is where I first was introduced to Daft Punk. Great video and great song. Also, if you want another 90's/2000's electronic music staple, then give Moby a listen, "Porcelain", "Southside", "Move (You Make Me Feel So Good)", "Bodyrock", "Extreme Ways", "Lift Me Up", "Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad?", "Honey", "Run On", "Wait For Me", "Jltf", "Go", "Flower", "One Time We Lived", etc. etc... very unique character in that genre.

I was working at Circuit City in the music and movies section when this song was the biggest bop out there. I can't tell you the number of people who came in, not knowing what this was called or who performed it, and desperately wanted it. They'd say something like..."it's got a brass beat..." "it's got a robot voice". It was always this song. I'd sing the chorus and they'd light up. "That's it!" I loved that job. I had a book at the kiosk that had all the release dates for music and movies for the next six months. Customers would come in just to ask me what was coming out and when. I probably wasn't supposed to share that info, but, whatever. Those were my peeps! Good times.

Great song, love Daft Punk! Have you listened to Chris Izaak- Wicked Game? It is such a beautiful song with his angelic but haunting voice and then the falsetto he hits is amazing and beautiful guitar too. It is so alluring and just pulls you in. Do the original black and white video with the beaufltiful model in it. Anything I say now will not do this song justice. This was an 80s song that women swoon over and they are just mesmerized by his voice. It was used in Calvin Klein and fragrance commercials it was so powerful.

*Great to see you have a bit of a boogie there my friend. I love so much of Daft Punks output. When released it was marketed as **_"French House"_** but the genre never really caught on. As you say, it's difficult to imagine ANYONE who doesn't want to dance when listening to this and many other tracks. Thomas Bangalter (one half of Daft Punk) is now based in LA with his beautiful wife and children, but rarely gives interviews these days. He's still recording and producing though.* *A fun fact - though a completely useless one, is that when Will Adams (will.i.am) bought his first home in the UK, he asked Thomas (who was living here on the Isle of Man at the time) to **_"expand and educate"_** him on how to better understand using an original vocoder. Considering this is a very rural island, it seemed very weird to see Will flying over our house and landing his (bright metallic purple) helicopter in Thomas' back garden! Great music though, and a genuinely nice fella.*

It’s Interstella no r, 5555 (available on DVD but can be hard to find) it’s an amazing mix of anime and music inspired by Saturday morning cartoons of the 80’s especially French, Japanese imports Golderack, and la cité d’or. Unfortunately, Daft Punk has since gone splits. They are no more and will be sorely missed. My teen and early adulthood was defined by Daft Punk albums.

If I'm not mistaken, you did a reaction to Pentatonix last year doing their Daft Punk medley where this song was included in the medley. This song has withstood the decades of time as is still actively played at edm festivals...mostly as a closing song to keep the crowd riled up as they get that comrodery emotion and watch fireworks. You just want to hug people, smile, sing and dance to this song because you know the vibe is about to end. This song doesn't have much in the way of lyrics, but it's more of a feeling. Like the music is a body moving motivator. You can't help but want to get into it and get hyped. Lol Great reaction. Watch the Pentatonix Daft Punk video you did and see how your reaction to it...you'll remember and see what I mean.
