Daihatsu Hijet NOT SHIFTING! Automatic "Transmission Control Computer Assembly" Fail-safe Mode FIX

In my automatic transmission 1995 Daihatsu Hijet S110P with 4wd, the PWR button does NOT illuminate. Also the transmission does NOT shift when driven and I am stuck in FAIL-SAFE MODE. There is a transmission computer mounted behind the steering wheel and instrument/gauge cluster. Could this be the reason for my current mini truck failures? Let's take a detailed look on how to get these things working again.

Just an update from my shot at doing this repair, it WORKED! I could only manually shift from L-2 and when in D it stayed in 2 with no power light on dash. After having someone with much better soldering skills than me replace the capacitors and clean the board we had our fingers crossed. I can now just put the van in D and it shifts perfectly 1-2-3 and power light is back on. So stoked so thanks again for sharing the video.

I like that I found you from day 1 of your daihatsu hijet videos. I have the s83p but we will still have common issues and I like to learn anyways. Maybe one day I will upgrade to a newer one but I lover her anyways!

Great video..... I have a 94 Hijet with EFI A/T identical to yours, & For the last 5 yrs I have yet to find out what that switch was for lol.... now I know.... I think my light is just blown bc I don't have issues with the shifting. Did you get the light to appear on the dash after? Or notice a chance in the shifting?

Pls sir i really have a question ❓ for u because right now i guess that this video that u made about this Hi jet engine is for me sir bu the thing there's that I'm building a car from scratch sir u can check my page for u to see what I'm talking about sir but the thing there's that Im actually using a 4 speed hi jet cabrator engine then coming to the gear box part I'm actually using a 5 speed old morden automatic gear box but the problem is that i was told that the gear box didn't have a brain 🧠 box but inside the gear box sir it has a cable that is being connected to the carburator but the issue that im facing now is that if i start the car 🚗 and put the gear ⚙️ on drive it seems that it want to move but i won't move and as for the gear oil 🛢️ it actually gage very well but even still im still having the same issue sir pls i really need ur help sir, first of All sir i want to confirm if it's All th automatic Hi jet gear box that uses brain 🧠 box sir pls sir I'm looking forward to get a respond from u sir thanks so much sir God bless u sir ❤❤❤

@@a.c.c.whizzymechchatronica5811 I am not sure what you mean by "brain box inside the gear box." The only box I am aware of is what I show within this video that is within the dash behind the instrument cluster. I hope you can find what you are looking for. More Hijet videos to come.
