Is the 15A fuse the same for all Hyundai i have a Hyundai Genesis and my radio stop working when I got it back from the shop yesterday morning

@@Sk8StGeorge Yes that clip was in the winter but it was white smoke. It was smoking since the summer and I finally was able to get to it It was really bad. As of June 2024, no more white smoke. It's still going strong.

I'm not clear on torqueing the radiator to 13 ft/lbs.

Not torque. It's 13 pound-force per square inch (psi). It's the unit of measurement regarding the amount of boiling point pressure that the OEM radiator cap can hold. That's equivalent to 0.9 bar.

Yes it is because it is a condenser and a trans cooler it’s the two seperate sections.

i havent tried to use the fuse method yet but with my 2008 hyundai elantra, my audio would go out on the right side when i would hit a bump and i could just hit the right side of the dash next to the radio and my audio would turn back on on the right side again, a week ago the audio went out again i hope the fuse method will fix my problem.

I'm having a similar issue but the fuse isn't blown, when I plug the adapter back in I can enter the code but there is no sound, then I'll turn the van off and back on and there's nothing on the screen again. Any ideas?

It sounds like your radio is needing to be read it's last rights. I don't know for sure but it sounds like it's dying.

That is still carbureted. Fuel injection was not available until the 200 series which started in 98 or 99. Also, diagonal cutters work best for removing cotter keys. And dont reuse cotter pins. Replace them.

Any suggestions for a stereo that randomly shuts off and won't respond. Then randomly it will come back on? Stereo has never been removed and all fuses are showing continuity so not a fuse issue.

The fuse may show continuity but it doesn't mean you're out of the dog house just yet as the fuse just may be on it's last leg. Change to fuse first and see if the random shutting off still happens. If it's still shutting off after the fuse change, you may need a new head unit. Contact your dealership first to ceonfirm before replacing as they may be able to check for a split wire in the back. You never know.

Going to wait until next year because there doing away with safety inspections here in Texas effective Jan 1 2025 so that would save me a step in all the legwork

@@falconman9554 Cool. Gracias por ver. A commenter last week advised me to get a TWIC card to avoid needing an escort. So I did just that, applied through TSA online, went to my local Staples to do the interview, paid the $125.25 fee, got approved, they shipped it in the mail, now I have 5 years free of TSA Precheck and no need for an escort at the Maritime seaport borders for 5 years. Just pull up a u-haul trailer hitch and bring that sucks back home. Without any registration. I feel you. Most of these Japanese cars are top notch and probably can pass the Texas state inspection either way. Remember, for them to even be able to be driven, your future car would have had to past an inspection that last two years. So the car you may get shouldn't be that rugged. Usually, the tires are the first thing that needs replacing.

@@JCMFix Yea down here in Texas they Require a saftey inspection and then a vin verification inspection before they will let me title it. I work alot so having to not do a saftey inspection would save me scheduling a day off. Plus I plan on doing a full tune up/tires/brake inspection anyway when I get it...but I don't want to spend any money on it till I have the paperwork straight. vs buying one now getting it to pass inspection only to run into paperwork issues. I will definately look into getting a TWIC card though! Thanks for the info

I know this is an older video but it's the best I've seen so far because you did it in a parking lot and not on a lift in a garage that most people don't have. I have a 2012 MKZ and just did this about a month ago thanks to you. Was able to get about a water bottle amount out but plan on changing it again in a few months just to make sure. My car had 40 thousand miles at the time and it looked like tar and smelled really bad. Thanks for doing this video. It helped a lot.

You maybe have a newer system with a screen. Maybe the LCD needs to be replaced. But you if are wanting to look at the fuse panel again, it's not about the color of the fuse. It's about the function of the fuse. Look at the diagram on the fuse panel cover and try to do what I did in my video to your car according to the diagram and the function of the fuses in relation to the head unit.

Check your wires to the speakers (rarely goes out) and then the speakers themselves (possible blown but not all of them at the same time, so rare as well). If it turns on and there is still no sound, the head unit is probably defective and you may need a new one. If all else fails try to see if you can get a cheap junk yard unit from eBay or take a Saturday to physically go to one with your tools and remove one from a 2010 Elantra or another Elantra within the same generation. You got this. I know you can do it T.

You may have only have a display problem. Try to go to a salvage yard, pull the display of a like model and year, disinfect it and plug it in to your car. Then it may work from there. Easy stuff.

Yep. It's just like 4 to 8 extra bolts after removing the bumper cover and that's it. I know you can do it.

Nah it's cool. The screen pivots so you can position it away from those areas. It's still working great! But I would not go any larger because it would definitely block both of the areas you mentioned.

Change every single one big you have the kit. The link is in the description. It's easy. Its only a few locations that need the gasketed o-rings. For me, it was just time. I didn't want anything to leak.

Purchased a used Hyundai that had an aftermarket stereo installed. Aftermarket stereo was taken out before I got the car factory stereo was put back in. Factory stereo after being reconnected will not function. Which told something about an anti-theft deterrent that I have to have a code to enable the stereo again. This possibly true or what

True. Take it to a Hyundai dealership and you will pay a small pittance for you to obtain the theft deterrent radio code.

Hey Jay Cee, Funny story. I have a 2010 Lincoln MKS....not a 2009. The part # checked out from the supplier as also working with the 2010 so I tore everything out and lo and behold....did NOT find the speaker where it was supposed to be. I took out the partial shelf entirely thinking it was hidden in there somewhere. It was NOT! Just my luck..... anyway I put everything back together and gave up for today. Any idea where that little speaker is located in the 2010 model? Thanks! Tom

Hey Tom, I'm sorry to hear you went through all of that work for it not to turn up. When the rear speaker used to sound, in what direction do you remember it coming from? I went ahead and looked it up for you. Per the 2010 MKS Workshop Manual SECTION 413-13A: Parking Aid. Procedure revision date: 07/06/2009 DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION: "Rear The rear parking aid system consists of the following: Four ultrasonic parking aid sensors (located in the rear bumper) Parking Aid Module (PAM) (located under the left side parcel shelf) Rear parking aid speaker (located under the left side parcel shelf)." "Front and Rear The front and rear parking aid system consists of the following: Four ultrasonic parking aid sensors (located in the front bumper) Four ultrasonic parking aid sensors (located in the rear bumper) PAM (located under the left side parcel shelf) Front parking aid speaker (located on the hush panel assembly below the glove box) Rear parking aid speaker (located under the left side parcel shelf) Parking aid disable feature (integral to the IPC message center) Parking aid disable feature is not available when a MyKey™ is in use." I went ahead and looked at the diagram specifically for the 2010 model and it shows the rear parking aid speaker is in the same exact place as the 2009 model: "Removal and Installation Remove the parcel shelf trim panel. For additional information, refer to Interior Trim and Ornamentation. Disconnect the parking aid speaker electrical connector. Remove the push pins and parking aid speaker. To install, reverse the removal procedure."
