Something that always puzzled me is that Japanese people can eat copious amounts of wasabi but anything even remotely spicy is labeled as Enma Super Burning Hammer Death level of spiciness. For me I do like wasabi, but I can only handle a little bit of it since it's a very strong flavor as well. Plus it hits different that say chili peppers. It burns your nose more so than your tongue or elsewhere IMO. But when it comes to spicy food, I love it!
