share my moving journey here in Japan. I will move into different city and different apartment. I love my old apartment so much but things happen so quickly and I need to leave my Japanese apartment.

I had to move out of my beloved house two years ago after a divorce. It’s been hard but I’ve found that it isn’t the place that makes a home. I’m now very happy in my new place and I know you will be too. Plus, I’m VERY impressed that not only did you keep the box for your computer but actually managed to get it in there!!😂

I keep the original packaging for most items for a few months then into recycling it goes. Otherwise, empty boxes create considerable clutter over time.

Hello from Germany, moving is always hard. Especially the last days, the old home isn’t a home anymore and the new quit far away. But believe me, when you open your boxes, the new flat will be a home. When you’re in the home, start with some fresh flowers. I have told my daughter about your videos and suggest that she watch them so that she can try some of your recipes. She just went through this at the end of last year when she moved from Tachikawa, where she had lived for two years, to Ogikubo. In addition, she just changed jobs also. She misses Lawsons so much, but she is adjusting. Yes, it is an entire process when one moves in Japan that those of us in the USA just do not understand. Because of my career, I've had to move to 6 different states in the USA. Each time was very stressful because of the unknowns of each new place. But in no time, I made new friends at work and in the new neighborhood. I found new places to explore in the countryside. And before you know it, it began to feel like home. Its the ones i didn't take out of fear or situations i didn't make the most of out of fear or upset that things needed to change. You have a great attitude. We had to move away from our families for my husband’s job. That was very difficult for me. We moved to a state where we didn’t know anyone. Moving was a good thing. I love where we live. New experiences and happy memories are on there way. Don’t worry it’ll be ok.

Sweet Lou, I have loved watching your videos and learning about an entirely different culture. Because life is a book of chapters, your next chapter will be just as, or more wonderful. I was also sentimental when I left my first apartment, but I had met my future husband, and thus began the best part of my life. What a moving video. I could feel your emotion throughout. It's not easy leaving a beloved place especially before you are ready to, which it seems happened here. But, you will make your new place a home, find new places to explore and hopefully the reason you have to move is a good one that will bring good fortune to your life.
