I remember being so gutted when I thought he was going to Newcastle, then hearing on the radio that Tottenham had come in for him at the last second. Favourite ex-Spurs player.

He's the hardest worker in the field for me. He was everywhere in the Russia world cup. The defense the mid the forward. Like Roberto Carlos he was all-rounder. And definitely deserved to win the cup that year but fell short because France was way powerful. I just hope people don't forget his contribution in the football world.
