Michael Ballacks downfall was that he looks and plays like the second Beckenbauer but outside the pitch comes across as the stereotypical East German. That combination confused many people who first put him on a pedestal because of his talent (he was the nations sole world class player of his entire generation) but then ditched him as a loser because he is "just an Ossi". In retrospect people should admire him, in spite of his ill fortune. If you rewatch the matches of Germany with him you will see how a sole midfielder almost turned the tide when Germany had not a single striker and he stepped in with scoring in almost every single match.kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gat7d6WWp862gHU.html unforgettable kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hLKfZZupl6eslas.html

Klose outworked others - which is very rare for his position as defenders usually have a significant edge. His motor, work ethic and never-say-die attitude were the very first things that stood out to me when I started noticing Klose. Him, Dirk Kuyt, those guys were at another level up front with regards to fighting spirit. Klose also scored countless goals timing a short all-out sprint perfectly, then one touch and the ball was in. That made it so tough to defend him, he didn't need space, gave you no time to recover and when you were right next to him, he was strong in the direct duels and had a good touch even when off-balance. In addition to that, his heading ability was excellent. Klose did the simple things at a level where they weren't so simple anymore. Was a total team player, extremely humble - and yet I'd say his most impressive skill of all was his fairness as a player. Remarkable person, absolute legend

I wish he wins the Fifa WC for 2026 that would be all the worth it reward to the struggles he and his family faced during his last years of his football career. His work ethics and hard work should not go in vain.

this $h*t is happening again and again to every man, once you reach the top and something breaks you, you're brain will not let you back again, unbelievably it's 1000's time harder to come back but not impossible. you see this a lot in fighters, UFC for example, happened with Oliveira recently and McGregor before him and the list is on.... every man may have his moment on the top but surely his moment in the bottom is waiting.

Manchester United are victims of success. They have a long list of legends that are involved in the club at almost an obsessive level and the standard that they have for the club is simply too high. Then you have owners who are very random in what transfers they approve and rarely approving the selling of deadwood players and the cherry on top is a toxic fanbase. I dont see them ever getting out of this vicious cycle
