In native language it is Bengaluru..which makes it the original name of the city. Bangalore was the anglicised version of the name under the British colonial rule. Bengaluru got its name back in 2006. It was called Bangalore because Bengaluru was probably not rolling off the tongue of the English colonizers too well. Either way, while everyone prefers if you(or frankly anyone indian or not) at least make effort to recognize the city by its original name aka Bengaluru, but if Bangalore slips out occasionally due to habit or in a flow or without any disrespectful intent, its fine. Even us indians have lived so long with its name being Bangalore that it sometimes slips out here and there(though its best to give the true name its due respect as much as you can). Mysore -> Mysuru(true name) Mangalore -> Mangaluru(true name) are also the same cases as Bengaluru within Karnataka. These are just a few, there are many such cities with previously Anglicized name that are regaining its true name back all through India. That aside, have fun in Bengaluru and India in general. Your vlogs have become my dinner time binge content haha.
