This video is being divided in two sections
Before overhaul starting with double blizzard
After overhaul starting with freezer storm.
At the end of each sections include the long video how daimos used all the weapons.

I was only 7 yrs old when I watched it. After school I waited for it. I am now 50 yrs old and proud to tell my nephew's niece's and my son about this anime by Japanese creation. Avid fan of Daimos!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I think this is why Daimos was so much better at melee combat. Because of the neural connection (the casque and plugs) and the neural feedback. You can see Daimos' facial expression changing to extreme pain when Kazuya feels the attacks as if they hit him personally. In Episode 8, during the fight against Battleder, he's even knocked out... and after the fight against Sonne Kaiser, he has his arm tied down on a sling due to the trauma suffered. A high-risk, high-reward combat style that IMO benefitted greatly.

I love how he debuffs the enemies before finishing them off. That is one efficient DPS.

I've watched it nearly 25 years ago, and I didn't remember anything. But this moves and music touch my nostalgia deep within very soul. And today I didn't even like mecha genere, but Daimos is something else

@@jimmytuplano3843 I'm simply a purist when it comes to anime. The last anime to live movie that broke me was devilman and the only good interpetation for me was Alita but that was made with a huge budget and the director respecting the source material. GMA has always had crappy script writers along with inderpaid cgi artists so I won't hold my breathe into thinking they would create a good adaptation.

Main difference in use of double blizzard and fire blizzard A. Kazuya crosses his hands across chest with open palm for DB. B. Kazuya applies crossing stance but fists are clenched for FB

破壊力抜群の武器を多数持っていますが最後のとどめは肉体技で決めるのでロボットアニメしては珍しいですね。ほとんど最後は光線技か剣で一刀両断するか銃で打って終わるのが定番ですが、ダイモスはある意味初期の仮面ライダーに近いですね。

Daimos in my opinion is the most flexible mecha i've seen,its not a robot your watching in the way it use martial arts style of fighting including the weapons,its like karate or kung fu.

I think I remember seeing a movie when I was a kid that could have been loosely adapted from this. I remember the double blizzard finishing move and the pilot's uniform. But the English dub called the robot Dynamo, the animation seemed about a decade newer, and it was a movie instead of a series.

Don't trust the US dub version of the classic 80's to 90's anime because majority of it has American censorship along with it. It's one of the reasons why Hayao Miyazaki refused to English dubbed his masterpiece when released them in US.

The mecha that I would select on a character screen for a robot game would be Daimos. This is what you can call a very good battle robot complete with its weapons. Also, the finishing move is badass that it never needed a blunt weapon like a sword but only its fist plus the fact that Kazuya is using martial arts that it can fight bare hands any enemy it faces.

Facts. Daimos' controls means it will have less lag between the pilot and the mech There's also the fact that Daimos looked more durable than his gattai brethren. It's a one solid mech vs those who uses 3,5 or even 15 vehicles to combine. Daimos uses it's bare fists and kicks to rip through monsters.

Then you better start playing the Super Robot Wars series by Banpresto (Namco Bandai). Although sadly the more recent games do not feature Daimos anymore. =(

@@adrian_veidt Yeah definitely better than numbered vehicles. If you're in a team and say one gets stunned or loses consciousness then you can't form the robot. Plus the fact that you need functionally work as a team so that if you or another doesn't get along it will be a harder fight than being solo.

@@ezioauditore4120 Sadly most Super Robot Wars games are Japanese only. (The ones with Daimos at least) but if you're played any Fire Emblem or similar games you'll get it right away. There is SRW Advance Portable on the PSP with a fan translation but that is considered one of the hardest SRW games.

Don't do the same thing with Daimos. Voltes V Legacy sucks! They made it into a teleserye drama. They should have just reshown the original Voltes animation, I'm sure it will be watched much more than that live action cum teleserye drama. "Layuan mo si Steve!" Jeez.

自分は子供の時にダイモスのDX超合金をクリスマスプレゼントで買って貰いました。綺麗に取って置けば相当なプレミアがついたのに？因みに大人になって超合金魂で発売されたダイモスも買いました。ただあまりにも性能が良くなりすぎて何か子供の時に買ってもらったおもちゃ感がなくなってしまったのが残念でしたね。

ちなみに後期になると、ファイヤーブリザードとして熱風を放射することも可能になる。敵の新型の装甲を破壊する為に冷却と加熱の両方で脆くした後で攻撃するんだよね。

If you look closely at 1:57, you can see that the handles of the twin blades he's currently wielding are magically back on Daimos's chest. Not that a few little animation errors make this any less of a classic, though!

I forgot to mention that the long video full video is the full combinations of each weapons before and after daimos overhaul. Double blizzard end with long video is the before overhaul and for after overhaul starting with freezer storm and fire blizzard

I remember there was one fight post-upgrade where Daimos used the Double Blizzard. Made sense for that fight, but I found it odd. I had thought the Double Blizzard was fully retired in favor of the Fire Blizzard - apparently not.
