A dagger and what looks like a book; she *_looks_* to be either a wizard or arcane trickster rogue and if so I'm excited to see Katie back in the roll of spellcasting. Though of course any character of hers is a _delight_ .

I love that 3 of the characters so far is a botanist, a fishermen, and a farmer. Such humble, mundane beginnings. And then there is Rhi playing a vampire diplomat.

I, for one, was certainly surprised Katie didn't play an elf/half elf. the only non-elves she's played for longer-than-oneshot-campaigns were Rose from Strahd and the French Tiefling from rogues gambit lol, but I'm excited to see Daisy in action!

I've tried writing long backstories for characters and having them have really established bonds and what have you because that's what one of my DMs liked, but I've come to find that having a short one page backstory or just a list of bulletpoints and getting to know my character through play was just a lot less restricting and a lot more fun for me, especially when working with a DM who could work with that. Everyone's got a style of play that works for them, so you'll hear no complaints from me as both you and the audience discover who Daisy really is/will become.

Ooh, ok. That's an interesting premise. I very much wonder what "bit more to her than meets the eye" is, but at the same time a nice country girl will be very interesting to see interact with the other characters. I can see her have some things in common with Gruffudd in coming from small villages, but her stealing sometimes to get by would run up to his rigid code. Ophelia might be intimidating to her, but might also be a potential new bestie. I think Daisy and Xantheus might get along the easiest at the outset from the characters we have seen so far, but they might also hold the mot potential for conflict down the line... Very excited to see how things go. And Katie's way of playing with getting to know her character through the play is really fascinating to watch. In many ways player and PC goes on parallel journeys of discovery and the double story of the character finding themselves in a new equilibrium as they meet new people and places that influence them in all manner of new ways and the player learning who that characters are as they play is really cool to watch as it grows into something like a second skin.

The campaign hasn’t even started and I already love this character! My guess for what class she is rogue (specifically arcane trickster, thief or maybe scout. Since she likes plants)

One of my friends has the same way of running her characters, which when working with me for my first campaign felt frustrating at first when everyone else gave me something to work with, however after having time to consider it I think that style of character story is cool and allows for more possibilities of where they go down the road. I'm looking forward to seeing how much of a delight Daisy is going to be. Side note, it's totally fine to have a favorite race you like to play in fantasy games, I'm a total dragon nerd so I have often made a dragonborn character or a character with some draconic involvement.

first I wanted to praise that there is finally more backstory to her character now , then I wanted to complain that there isn't and then she so wonderfully acknowledged exactly that. I can't but support this lovely character idea and also can't wait to see what mark's got in his sleeve especially for Daisy.

I think the name Thistleheart is an intentional reference to Scotland, which Katie puts in all her main campaign characters (Thistle is the national flower of Scotland, so she has Scotland in her heart).
