Morning Dennis, I think Daiwa has 8 different models of the 15 reel. From what I've found, the model 15 was named after the year of design. There were two different gear ratios, a 5.1:1 ratio and a 6.4:1 ratio. Most of the model 15 reels used ferro fluid sealing of bearings called Magsealed. The fluid isn't good on you as it contains nano particles and absorbed through the skin. In 2022, Daiwa did a redesign of the reels and I think did away with Magseal. My first Daiwa Saltiga 15H-SJ had to be sent back to Japan for service, as the Daiwa service center I purchased parts from didn't have the ferro fluid to clean and lubricate the bearings.
