my uncle is a journeyman tile setter and i was his helper for a bit after high school. pretty good for figuring it out my guy. remember if you are looking for a good natural cleaner for tile then a mixture of 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water will clean your floors great. it will smell a little funny lol but youll also never risk your grout changing colors because of cleaning solutions and chemicals. ps imagine an extended porch of your back door large enough for seating with a built in stone fire pit and a custom brick grill lol then underneath that build your own enclosed shop for working

The Madagascar color looks great for the outside guys. Also, please don’t ever paint the lovely wall in your dining room area. I think that the beautiful golden honey color natural wood your plywood turned out after you sealed it looks absolutely amazing and it matches the other natural wood color of your walls. If you must paint a wall go with soft pastel colors and not terribly drastic bright colors, and in,y pain the walls that are drywall and not natural wood. Remember that you can always accessorize walls with pictures or mirrors that can make it pop. I think that your place is looking absolutely amazing. The idea of adding an extended deck patio would be great too. Maybe even put in a relaxing hot tub, but I’m not too sure that it won’t consume too much electricity. Yes the tile was a different color so it’s good that you replaced it. Hope to hear back from you crazy kids again soon. Your videos always make my day!!

I found the rope mops are harder to clean, and when it's put outside to dry, it seems to attract bugs. So Freddie, I agree with you on your choice of mops. You go, girl!

Water with vinegar is all that is needed to mop. I found out the hard way that soaps, cleaners, and cleaning mops like swifter products only build up crud in the grout. To keep the grout clean be sure to apply a grout sealer and only use vinegar and water to clean. After 3 years I still have absolutely no build-up in the grout.

The reason your Grout work was not as nice is you never wet wiped it after applying the Grout, apply Grout and wipe with damp sponge util the haze forms the wipe away again with damp sponge to shine it up.

There is a pad mop called Bona that comes with a small water container, and it’s refillable, so you spray and mop, so easy!

I love a string mop with a basket spinner. It's the best for swabbing the decks!

I use a regular Swiffer with wet cloths and a Swiffer Wet Jet to mop! Love it! It’s so handy!!

Love the fridge in the kitchen! We have tile floors and we have a few “hollow” sounding tiles 😳 Good thing that you removed that rogue tile. I use a steam cleaning mop on my tile floor. It’s light weight and does a wonderful job 😊 A rubber mat for the kitchen will definitely save the tiles from breaking when you drop something. Your floor is beautiful!

I use an electric streamer. It cleans grout well. Freddie, yours is for a quick wipe.

My mop is flat, folds together to squeeze out the water from the foam and cloth pad that sticks on the bottom. I love it because you don't need to keep rinsing the mop in dirty water. It works very well. The pad can be thrown in the washing machine afterwards. I have tried many mops and this one is my favorite. The exterior color you are choosing looks very nice! I'm glad you are not changing the roof color! The tiling is making a huge difference! Wow! Love it! I hope the color you want to put on the dining room accent wall turns out as you hope. It is very dark! On camera, it may not look the same as in person, of course. I love the color of your fridge, so personally- I would choose a color almost the same. But it's your house... if you love it then I'm sure it will be perfect. It is always easy to repaint if you don't like it anyway! You are doing a wonderful job a project at a time! Hopefully you will finish the rest of the tiling by the door and laundry room soon. You will feel great to have that whole level done with flooring! Then maybe go do something fun for a few days? When you're cutting the tile, you should pour water on the tile, and the blade will last longer, plus you'll have a lesser chance of breaking the tile. I use a steam mop on my tile. ❤❤

In the UK we use the stringy mop. They're great for cleaning and also for 'sucking up' water spills.

The handle on your floor mop expands. Screw the centre piece and pull it up then screw centre when you have desired length. ❤

Tiles are looking really nice. We have both types of mops. Use each one for a different task. The one with the long strings you have to use a wringer to get the excess water out,but it mops a bigger area. Like the outside color choice.

you put an old towel over a broom (cut a round hole to fit through handle ) and throw it in the washer then spinner. 2 tank washer is ideal. toss the american mop & american washer. use mortar not grout (grout will disolve and disappear)

Here in the US I use either of those mops, the hairy one for wet floors and the other one for dry mopping/ sweeping is how I use them.

Grout haze cleaner to remove the dried on haze on the tiles that didn't get cleaned in that section that you did by the stairs. It's a lot more work if not done right away like the guys did with helping you this time. Looks great keep up the great work and learning as you go!

Spin mop! O-Cedar brand. I also have a Haan steam mop, but you need to put however many pads you use in the washing machine. And I've had a million different mops so I would go with the spin mop for the centrifugal force to get extra water out of mop. The replaceable mop heads for spin mops are made of string.

The tile floors look great! I think the forest green for the walls is going to clash with the teal refrigerator. Hold the sample up next to the fridge and see how you like it before you paint the wall.

String mop is less sanitary and can get stinky if not properly maintained. I’d go with the European style one you bought.

I love my Dupray steam cleaner - has diff attachments so you can clean everything with no chemicals and kills mold and cleans dust from the air etc… use microfiber cloths with it with white vinegar and cat friendly essential oils. The BONA mop system w duster & cleaning cloths super good for in between steam cleaning. Love you two!

In Costa Rica, most people use a mop that has nothing attached at the bottom but there's a clip to hold a dish towel. I find them difficult to rinse and wring out. The best mop I've found is a spin mop. They sell them at Pricesmart and EPA (if you have it.) At Pricesmart, it's called Kodiak Bucket and Mop with Spinning Wringing - Trapero y Balde con Escurridor Giratorio. I have a different brand but I think they're all the same.

Hey guys. The carrot "tops" or the greens. I've learned since I've been gardening that the carrots will only grow as deep as the garden soil is. I hope that makes sense. Because I live near the beach in New Jersey, we have sand and a lot of stones, so my carrots were very short. Now I've built up the garden beds and even have bigger humps the carrots grow in. They are a little longer now. I have a question, why is the piece of roofing metal lying in the back of your property? Is it a home for little animals or reptiles? Watch when you move it. 🤣😉 You 2 are doing so well. I love the colors you've picked for inside and out. You definitely need color to make it your space. The cotton rope mop works with a bucket of water, then you have to wring it out with your hands. Too much work. Freddie picked the right mop. A Swiffer (brand name) has a whole system of cleaning tools. Here in Paraguay, and most of South America, we use a mop towel draped over a squeegee to mop. Most floors are tile or cement. I like the fact that I can change my “mop rags” frequently as I mop. I then wash them all and use again.

Onions and beets like sandy soils. You need to create a special bed in the greenhouse just for crops that like to grow in that soil type then make a special soil mix to fill that bed with. It needs to be deep enough and the moisture level of the soil needs to be just right so they do not rot. You can grow other root vegetables in that area as well, carrots, turnips, potatoes, etc.

I'm living in Estonia and over here I see both version but the "hairy" mops are quite common, usually combined with a bucket that has some sort of mash on top to easily press the mop into to squeeze the water out. The one I have at home is actually from, I assume, a German brand: Vileda.

If you need to put down more of the mesh for tile cut 2 pieces of plywood 2foot by 2 foot to squeeze the mesh down stand on 1 and keep rotating them, no more rubberman

While I realize you have pets, I would try to have a no shoes policy in your house. There's not a week that goes by that I'm not irritated that I picked out white tile because every little thing shows up. Drives me nuts. Your tile looks lovely!

Haha Freddie I use an O-cedar mop it has the long strings but they are a shorter version and it comes with a bucket that spins it out. And you can pull them off to toss in the wash.

I hope you consider keeping the frig facing the kitchen and creating a wall of sorts with it between the dining and cooking areas. It looked out of place where was facing the middle of the house. It will be more efficient for you when you cook to not have to go into another room to open the frig away from the counters and carry food across the floor. The floor in front of my frig always gets dripped on. I vote for the pad type mop. String mops are always damp and smelly. Lots of bacteria lurking and ready to get spread back on the floor. String mops are only good for swabbing the decks of ships and warehouses. Carrot top pesto, schmecks gut! Alles gute.

I'm so glad to see you're going with the blue for your accent wall. Many people forget that people in other cultures love and add colors in their homes. With you having a blue roof outside, it's fitting and connecting the outside of your house to the inside. Once again, love the blue, your home isn't in the cookie cutter colors of the USA, be original & add the blue color that makes you happy💙

Freddie the mop you bought is really good for dust mopping instead of sweeping. And damp mopping. But the other string for heavy cleaning. A house keeper told me to vacuum so the grout gets cleaner. The dust settles in the grout.

It’s just an idea, use it or don’t. Build a cubical for the fridge (like a cabinet) and a shelf above, then behind the cubical build an attached closet for brooms, vacuums, etc to store. I use in the USA a mop called O Cedar with a ringer bucket and water reservoir on the otherside. It's the best for in home. Just make sure you pull away from wall (baseboards). The mop heads come off for washing in a washer. You won't be disappointed. You all work so well together, what a blessing to have friends like them. ROBERTO and RICO are the bomb!!!❤

I use the same kind of mop for my floors! I got a couple of micro cloth pads for it so that I can just throw it in the wash. Also put my cleaner in a spray bottle and dilute it so that I don't have to rinse it. They simply spray a section and mop with a wet mop. Works great!

Hi. I use a "wet mop" to clean the floor, and a dry mop (like your long mop) to go over the clean dry floor to get rid of any water marks and it gives a nice finish. The tiling is looking beautiful. 💐

Can't wait until you guys finish the first floor and begin the second floor, I hope your bedroom will be on the second floor, maybe if you have room a third floor loft would be nice and use for storage, you must think ahead for storage space.

I feel you should use the dark teal in the dining area. The jungle green is beautiful, but your frig will not blend very well.

I think the European version is much healthier! The string ones you have to squeeze the water out and replunge it back in the dirty water !
