Being Canadian, a twelve hour drive is commonplace . It takes three like that just to go from one end of Ontario to the other and that is only one province out ten. I’m American living in Norway. Part of the reason for that was to experience something different. And that’s one of reasons I enjoy your channel (and J & K’s). It is fun to live vicariously through your life. Incidentally I had a Costa Rican employee once back in North Dakota. He was on a youth work exchange program. It is going to be fun to see some of that country on your adventures!

Exciting you two! You've worked so hard and need a decent beak somewhere you love. We went to Mexico, flew, rented a car, and got stopped by a police officer who told us we were speeding, ran through a yellow light, and weren't respecting Mexican laws. None of that was true, but, if we paid him 200 USD, we could go, or else, got to the police station. All the gringos in rented cars were being stopped. Stopped again on way back to the airport. Ugh. It made us feel so crappy, to be ripped off by people who are supposed to be upholding the law.

Don't set your passport or DL down anywhere in Costa Rica. Take it to the shower room too. Or watch them for each other. CR is a lovely country to visit, I have done so several times, but everyone needs to be careful. Things have a way of disappearing in CR, especially out of cars.

You have set up such a wonderful life with your quiet mountain home in beautiful nature, with a little community, yet the freedom to take turns travelling because you can trade off farm duties. It is a joy to see, thank you!!!

If you think the ATM was possibly hacked, you should get in touch with your bank or card holder. You don't want to need money and find an empty bank account. Hacking is all over the world now. Stay aware and only make money transfers at a bank - not an ATM. Just a suggestion. Have a good trip.

We Camped on lake in Alaska. I do mean on the ice. It snowed 2 feet overnight. All eleven of us, my parents and siblings. We had the yummiest clam chowder. All of us dug clams the year before. Nothing but great adventures.

We drive 12 hours often to south Florida. But no border crossings. Just toll bridges. Toll booths. We used to drive it in one day but as we get older we split it up. And drive 6 & 6. I very much want to covert a van to travel in so we don’t have to pay for a hotel. Y’all be careful and have fun ! ❤

yes I personally enjoy following you on your day to day journey, travels etc and all like the old days. I thought that was what your channel was about, I enjoy watching you guys build your nest together while living on lola's farm, but I wouldn't tune in for just a building show and if I am being honest I was a bit disappointed that more of your first time in Germany wasn't filmed more but I figured maybe you just wanted privacy with meeting everyone etc. for the first time. So in spite of a bit of a long winded answer lol my vote is YES please continue to vlog your travels and adventures as well as your everyday on the farm ☺😘

We live close to the Canadian border and one time drove up to a border city to get my global entry, we then decided to hop across the border to go mountain biking. The border crossing agent in Canadian didn't believe us at all that we were there to mountain bike lol. It wasn't even close to your border crossing experience but I laughed when she was talking about Europe border crossing because it's like a completely different world over there with border crossing. This side of the world we have things locked down lol. Also, I have been searched twice leaving Mexico and once coming back into America from Costa Rica. I am sketchy looking I guess lol. I can't wait to go to Panama, it's on our bucket list!

This video brought back memories. I used to live in Santa Barbara de Heredia. We vacationed at the family home in Jaco and i used to ride the ferry and vacation at Playa Tambor from 1993-2000. It has changed a lot. I know how crazy the boarder can get. Great video. Pura Vida.

I lived in Colombia SA, for 3 years, mid point between Bogota and Cali, tropical 4000 ft elev. I am from Southern California so the climate was very different, but the driving was a real shock, the speed bumps on the highways was the worst besides the motorcycles being a mountainous area and most motorcycles were under 200 cc’s many times with 2 riders with a package or 2, and driving at night is a real challenge with few street lights and many cars and motorcycles either with non functional lights or many drivers just do not use their lights at night. And the random checkpoints for documents sometimes it is local police and sometimes it can be military either way it was always a bit stressful because I was not fluent in Spanish. But it was a wonderful experience and I am glad I survived and returned to California.

I was in Boquete for 3 weeks in January and 1 week in El Valle. In El Valle, I think there are as many bikers as other vehicles. They had great bike paths!

I think everybody enjoys a short movie covering a trip. Have fun and enjoy the Pacific Ocean. This is a change from your colder mountain home.

Loved it. Was nervous re border crossing. Also, was nervous about giving the stranger a lift. Sometimes we get paranoid because we listen too much to negative stories so we merely exist and not truly living

I've lived in Costa Rica for 21 years and I've still never made it to Santa Teresa, although I've been almost everywhere else in CR as well as Boquete, David, Ciudad de Panama, and Bocas del Toro in Panama. BTW, I highly recommend going to Tortuguero, on the Carribean coast some day when you want to escape again. Just make sure you book ahead, because boat transport is required and it's best to have tours included so that you can really see the wildlife.
