I can't believe how much bounce those cars had in them

First year Dale in the black car with new sponsorship. Those chromium number "3s" were very expensive. This is the Bristol track I remember growing up.

I think Dale had some real restraint on that one, Bodine seemed to come down on him a few times, that is a good way to get dumped. I miss this era of Nascar, today's product is just not the same.

Those were the days. Glad I still have many old video tapes. Sundays, hearing that Speedworld theme and Ned, Bob, & Benny ...

This must’ve been back when Dale and Geoff had their feud

That first time was definitely just a racing incident, Dale's tires prob a little worn and he slipped up rubbing Geoff a little. Those other taps were Dale tooting that chrome horn trying to rattle Bodines cage a bit. Just short track love.

As a kid in 1988, boy do I remember this race. Harry Gant had THE car that day even with a broken shock mount but Dave Marcis had fresh tires as a lapped car and wiped him out. I was crushed. Love Dave now but he was on my list for a few years. Ha!
