You both played really well, specially in defense. I'm a huge fan of Dalhausser and I've proudly found that you can beat him (you will soon). I really hope you two become one of the top couples in the world! However, other than the wrong call made by the referee, I think you should always focus on your play. Grow your winning mindset, be more confident on the court when you're attacking (in defense you're spectacular). You're beasts with a great repertoire, use it! ✌️☺️

Out...from this camera's perspective. Line didn't move either. Sand covered line after ball landed out. You likely lost the call due to their being the top seed and the powers that be decided you guys don't quite merit beating them...just yet. Sorry to see the injustice. Great to see you play very well against a top team, however. Also, don't serve Phil. Unless you can ace, or near ace, him - which you can't know before you decide to serve him - he will sideout, thus the risk is too high to even attempt, unless you are in some kind of ace-serving zone. Great play otherwise, except at the end when the injustice likely caused mental doubts/frustration. Hey, you got a vid on how to address that subject, no?

serving him can make him more tired. Some college indoor coaches do this with liberos since they stay on the court almost the entire time.

Hey Riley, I have a Question about your serve. In the video it looks like you're digging your foot under the line while serving. And also you're stepping into the court very early during your Serve. Aren't those two things forbidden or are the rules different than I thought? Greets from Austria, Jonas

You can't touch or cross the line until the ball leaves your fingers/hand. I don't think he is violating either of those rules (but only barely). Will see if he sees this comment and replies, though.

So about the ball at 13:42, it was clearly out. When one pauses and goes frame by frame with the (.) and (,) keys the outer edge of the ball is like 5 cm away from the line and the line doesn't move one bit when the ball drops.

Definitely Out! Furthermore, unless clear contact with the line is seen or evidenced by the ball mark, ruling that in is completely out of line by the ref... especially at such a critical point in the match. This is what we call a favored decision... top teams always seem to get the benefit of the doubt, and in this case, sometimes even more.

Hey, Riley. Take a close look at 6:09 at slow speed. You've got a foot fault there, and I don't think it's the only one. You're walking into the court before you touch the ball......
