Dali Lektor 2, Logitech Z5500, Onkyo TX-SR508

12 жыл бұрынFound this video lurking on my PC, I recorded it last year before I moved out to uni.
I used my existing Z5500s as the surround speakers and sub, and used my new DALI Lektor 2 speakers for the front Left and Right. Everything (except the sub) is powered by an Onkyo TX-SR508. This makes a 7.1 Setup.
Song is Drawing the Line by Porcupine Tree (Album, The Incident). This is the 5.1 version.
Recorded on my iPod Touch 4th Gen.

I phoned richer sounds today and he said they will send it on for a service tomorrow so hopefully that might sort it! Thanks for your help.

I do also get a hissing at those higher volumes, but usually that is way too loud to be comfortable. Music I'm never above 50% and movies with DTS, maybe 80%, but when I'm decoding DTS, the hissing seems to go away. PCM is when it hisses, so its probably an internal chip making the noise.

Hi yeah from the speakers 3/4 volume I start to hear it. Sometimes it stays when I put the bluray player in its menu but it goes when I turn it off! Iv tried everything!

Yep, the Logitech Z-5500s come with a 10" 190 Watt sub. It's hiding in the left corner.

Does the logitech sub needs the console? If no, how you can control it? You've mentioned that sub is not connected to your Onkyo. Cheers

Yes the sub needs the console, it controls both the volume and it is the audio input for the sub. I connected the Onkyo via sub pre out to the console with a 3.5mm cable, the box then sends it to the sub.

Hi mate nice setup! Wondering if you could help me I have this avr and I get a hissing noise when at high volume, even when nothing is connected, does your do this?

Hey. Does the noise come from the AVR itself or the speakers? And what volume does it appear at?

without sub Lektor 2 have a good bass?

Pretty good, its punchy but not very deep. It also depends on the room you put them in and where you listen to them. If bass is very important, get a sub or larger speakers.

No I've not listened to the Zensor 3s, the 2s are about the same as mine however, maybe a little bit weaker.
