I've always loved this collaboration. Peter Murphy's unique voice with Mick Karn's unmistakable bass. 💖 (For those who don't know, Mick Karn's collaboration with Midge Ure is also great!)

Only recently discovered this hidden gem of a song. Love love love. The video matches the haunting, mysterious music. So so good. Mick is so beautiful❤❤❤

Been a fan of Bauhaus and of Pete's solo work. I remember finding about this project but never really paid any attention to it... Up until now! This video reminds of Paul Morissey's Blood for Dracula. Brings me back to my darker days of not knowing how to cope with life. I still don't but at least now I try to be at peace with the turmoil... As you get older you learn that life is hard enough so no point fighting with yourself! That way, I have learned to appretiate how lucky I was to even have the time for self doubt. Best of luck to us all!

This whole album has been almost magical for the 22+ years since I've first heard it. It should get played when when just nothing else makes sense. I dunno, you have to be in the mood It's a very unusual album. [teenage son behind me screams "THEY TOOK TOO MUCH ACID"] how much is too much?

Mick was never underrated ! He was regarded as the best in his field by the likes of ...Pete Townsend, Elton John . He even done session work for kate Bush ! Underrated.....Never.

@@stephenbennett1643He was most certainly underrated. He couldn't gather up enough funds to assist his battle to save his life from cancer. If he wasn't underrated, he would've had the funds. He was definitely underpaid as well as underrated. I wonder why Elton John Kate Bush or Pete Townsend didn't chip in when he reached out for help to accumulate the funds? RIP Mick! ❤

@@stephenbennett1643 If an artist is financially strapped, they're underrated. Just because other musicians loved his work doesn't mean he was well known or well paid. I wish he had the fundage to save his life. He was an amazingly talented human to have with us on the planet. 💛

@@hightreestess If kate Bush comes calling how can you be underrated ? No bigger compliment in my book. However it is very sad that Mick was not financially secure enough to fund his treatmeant, and his so called friends should have stepped up and helped him??? Mick was an amazing musician, not just on fretless bass ! His style has never been replicated by any other player, which is surely a tribute to the great man . The best of his era . If we hadn't had lost him im sure he'd have got the gig with The Who, instead of Pino Pallidino ? People / Artists knew how great Mick was on fretless . I don't think you'll find many there are many great bass players who would underate Mick , but thats just my opinion.

@@stephenbennett1643 Well, Kate Bush is underrated too. 🙃 You just have obscure tastes in music. I do as well. Neither Kate nor Mick, in my opinion, have received high enough ratings. For example people like Tailor Swift, makes billions per show, her music blows. While Mick Karn wasn't even able to fund his treatments & Kate Bush never made billions either. Though her work with Peter Gabriel may have brought her a little more recognition than Mick Karn ever got. This is my opinion. However, in the non mainstream underground flow, yes both artists are highly revered. & Mainstream is burnt out & played out too much, so in my opinion, the underground approval is the best rating anyway! ☺️

VIDEO BATTLE OF THE TWO DRACULAS (1984). In this Hammer Horror classic directed by Belgian Surrealist painter Paul Delvaux (86 years old at the time), a hip London creative agency run by the sons of Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee is torn apart when the partners can't decide whether to standardise on Videodisc or Laserdisc. The rivals fly to Malta and - dressed as David Bowie in his Mr Gravedigger persona - enact a series of bizarre rituals involving lighthouses, Filofaxes, mirrors, marble busts, masonic oaths, biro pens, fax machines, the Knights Templar, pagers, the glugging of biodiesels and the sacrifice of art nouveau virgins (the kind you see holding up oil lamps on Edwardian enamels in retro Japanese restaurants). The film was so badly received that Hammer Films retreated to a lead-lined coffin after foolishly backing up its entire archive to Betamax.

@@RippedfromVHS Thanks for your kind words. I did a couple of others but I was never a full on music video director. This one came about because the producer Rex Pyke was a friend of Mick's and asked me to direct it. I was given an open brief by Mick, Pete and Rex and this is what I came up with. Mick and Pete were both great guys to work with. It was a tragedy that Mick's life ended so early. It's good to see the video has been generally well received.

@@filmserve Rarely does the music match the video, or vice versa. The images you created in this video were just killer. You did it perfectly. I have no clue why this was never played on MTV in the US. Viewers would have really loved it. What other videos did you direct? Thanks for responding!

I did promos for several up and coming bands when I was at film school and some live concert filming over the years. The last was for Bryan Ferry. Another of my early works, my film school graduation film, 'The Terminal Game', made a couple of years before 'Judgment', is included on a BFI Blu-ray being released next week. Music is by Colin Towns who at the time was keyboardist with the Ian Gillan Band. A lot of the soundtrack was recorded at Ian's studio and Colin is still a good mate. But I digress :). Thanks again for your kind words on 'Judgment'. It's a pity Dali's Car never took off. I think they could have developed into something special.
