jm2p7 thats true, but for a relatively big sport (hockey, football, soccer, baseball, basketball) hockey is definitely top. They have the strength, stamina, and speed of all of these sports put into one.

d4v1dfor3v3r This depends on what we define as "tougher" numbers wise a punch from a pro boxer will do a LOT more damage then a hit from a hockey player but it's also but it's also in a more concentrated area. After being on the ice for like 20 min on and off skating your ass off AND getting hit you feel pretty shitty anyways... You do get hit multiple times in each sport though. Hockey games usually lasting on average 30~ minutes longer then a boxing match. Those 30 minutes if you are being played hard are hell, and i would take getting punched around for a bit over the last 30 minute grind. I know from running my mouth and getting the shit kicked out of me by a senior in my first year of highschool that the day after for just a regular fight is way worse then the day after for hockey.

zaah haaz Timothy Lieuw I know but hockey requires so much more physical ability and the hits in hockey are the hardest collisions in sports period, just ask Newton's Second Law of motion. Boxing is a tough sport but honestly boxing players don't have the risk of having their throat slit open. Boxing players don't have the risk of having a 100 mph piece of vulcanized rubber hitting them in the face. Hockey players have the same risks as boxing players and the extra ones mentioned in addition.

They are both very dangerous don't get me wrong. In fact when shit hits the fan in hockey it REALLY hits the fan. But no hockey player get's their throat cut open and walks it off. Just like no boxer get's hit right on the button and walks it off. As for your comment about the puck, i wont lie a puck at 100 mph if it was coming at me i would ya'know...give up take it like a pussy:P but a puck at 100mph hits with around 200 lbs for force so yeah it would freaking kill however boxing punches have been recorded well over 1000 lbs more then enough to even fracture your femur. So, theoretically a hard puck to the face could fracture your skull whilst a hard punch could put a big o'l crack in it. Welp nice sharp razor to the throat or skull crushing punch to the face we have options Now just to clear something up. I am not hear to preach for the boxers i just wanna give all sides an even chance at defending.

Guys, stop saying shit that hockey isn't a sport. Tell me when you can skate on half inch blades, the balance.. going around full speed while hitting each other and sticks in the face, while also diving in front of a 95mph puck, while someone on the other team wants to beat the shit out of you because you laid out a hit on there best player. Just because you never watched it in your life doesn't mean that you can say it's not a sport. I love all sports BECAUSE I GAVE THEM A TRY. Hockey is my favorite, baseball, American & European football, basketball. Give a sport a chance for once. It's sad how it always has to be about 2 or 3! Learn the game, and you'll love it. Case closed. Also, hardest playoffs?! Hockey hands down, because it's all full game 7's and 4 rounds and nearly 2 months to accomplish.They actually WANT TO WIN A TROPHY, they don't care about how much they're getting paid, they want to get their name on the Stanley Cup. It's the passion they strive for and dreaming about someday becoming a professional in the drive way with your buddies game 7 OT finals. But not everyone is built to play hockey. I personally can't enjoy playing hockey, it is simply too hard. I enjoy watching it. My dad loves hockey. I am built for a small amount of football (American) and basketball. Hockey is sometimes hard to enjoy watching as well, even though I am a Pittsburgh Penguins fan, and they win all the time xD It is all opinion. I personally feel that if someone thinks hockey is a boring/untalented sport, let them. They just enjoy different sports, that's all. Seems to me like your entire comment isn't very necessary, but I do see what you mean. I want no arguing over the matter, I just hope you see my side of the story :)

Love the awesome tricks that hockey players can do. I personally don't know much about hockey but when he was scoring in the goal past the goalie the tricks looked quite impressive.

Na with the centers the Bruins have Seguin would be maybe like a 2nd or 3rd liner. He was given the chance to be a first liner and Dallas and it turned out pretty good

I wish Seguin would've been able to stay with Boston but he would have never been first like over Bergeron and third line wasn't doing him justice, Dallas is certainly using him and Tyler and Jamie are probly the main reason Dallas is doing well.

Ill take this from a personal point of view. I play hockey, a lot of it. Junior A in Ontario, so I am decent. I play soccer with my Fury friends and keep up pretty well. I also play basketball with a lot of my buddies as well, once again I can keep up with them and actually make it a competition. Not one of those friends can even stand up on skates let alone play hockey. And I'm not being rude to them, what I'm saying is, hockey is my (profession if I can call it that), yet I can still play every other sport at a pretty high calibre. Ever notice how hockey players play soccer or basketball just to WARM UP for their sport? Sorry but it's the truth. Boxing is impossible for me though, so I'll give it to the boxers.
