Today, we are digging into the REAL differences among the top 4 Texas cities you’re probably considering if you’re moving to the Lone Star State: Houston Texas, Dallas Texas, Austin Texas, and San Antonio Texas. Which city is the best to live in and why?
Houston Texas is the largest city in any of these metroplexes, with tons of affordable family-friendly suburbs to choose from. Houston is the only city out of those listed with proximity to the Texas coast. Housing affordability here is very good. There are tons of things to do in both the city and suburbs here. It is a big sports and food city.
Dallas TX is hotter, dryer, and flatter, giving those true Texas vibes you might get from an old movie. However, Dallas, along with neighboring Fort Worth, is also an incredibly vibrant and clean city with quickly growing suburbs closely connected to the city. New homes are very popular here, which can make housing more expensive. This city is definitely a sports hub, home of the Dallas Cowboys, the Dallas Stars, and much more!
Austin TX is known for being the blue dot in a red state. Its motto is "keep Austin weird" and it definitely is known for its laid-back vibe and awesome music and food scene. The geographic scenery here is awesome, with massive rolling hills, a dryer climate, and the Colorado River running right through the city. The unfortunate downside to Austin is that home prices are significantly higher than any of the other metroplexes.
San Antonio TX is the smallest and most relaxed of these cities and is incredibly popular for its amazing festivals and holidays. It’s a great place to settle down in a comfortable neighborhood and raise a family. Plus, it offers several corporate offices for those looking to settle down and expand their career.

I’m from Dallas and I moved to S Florida 25 years ago. I miss Dallas so much. I come home several times a year. S Florida has experienced the same influx of people. It’s crazy. I want to come home but I’m a North Dallas girl. I could make a fortune on my house but I would give it all to the house I would buy in Dallas. Decisions decisions. Great video!

San Antonio is not the smallest of the 4 Texas Metros. It’s actually slightly larger than Austin, although I don’t think that will be the case much longer

Man you captured all 4 cities to a tee. I live in Houston and have become less of a fan living here the older I’ve gotten compared to when I was younger. I think the city of Houston( inner loop) offers the best living experience for all demographics if your a single Millennial or Gen Z. Austin offers the best lifestyle if you’re more liberal, vegan, tech Bro, outdoorsy alternative lifestyle type of person. DFW as a metro though imo is the best bet if you’re career driven or family centered. That’s why as a Family man now I lean more towards DFW than Houston in this stage in my life.

There's no city vs city competition. The only difference between Dallas and Houston is that Dallas has much of that Midwestern/Oklahoma influence while Houston has a more Southern but much of a Louisiana influence. Both cities distinguish themselves from one another based on their cultures their vibes and their regional cuisines.

Tornados are very rare and dont happen often but the do happen every now and then. Id say down south would be less tornados but then you have to deal with flooding in houston. San Antonio may be a good option for you

#Funfact Dallas is also very segregated where u have whites on one side of town && blacks on the other And people just kinda stay within their own ethnic social group whereas Houston is the exact opposite integrated Everyone living amongst each other no matter your ethnicity and very friendly w/ one another which is really significant to me Everyone in Houston is like family helping each other out during natural disasters&&coming together just to enjoy one another’s company whereas Dallas is like living up north it’s every man for his/or herself However he was right abt Galveston beach not being a Miami bcuz even though G-county’s beaches R murky there are times of the year Galveston beaches are blue However Miami or just Florida overall beaches are bluer but their also artificial,&& contaminated w/ fecal pollution And above all shark 🦈 infested so much so, tht Florida and its beaches has been named the shark capital from all the shark attacks tht has occurred there,So be wary all you tourist && visitors tht didn’t know any of this However I agree again Austin definitely gives the west coast vibe But its a bit of a stretch to say tht Dallas is anything like California bcuz tht couldn’t be any further from the truth🤣But nice vid tho🤷🏿‍♂️👍🏾💯

That’s not true. I’m Mexican and visited Austin and it feels like such a welcoming city!, I’m sure that if you change your mentality and be positive and optimistic they will like you just as they like me. We Mexicans and blacks are targets of racism, but I think that if we keep optimistic and happy, we will transmit that to other people and they will like us more. Stay in Austin and invite me 👍🏽
