Luka needs 3 months off his feet so he can fully heal and decompress. People forget the crazy season Luka had leading up to the playoffs and also playing injured back then to chase a spot in the playoffs and an MVP run. Remember a few months back... Dallas was hoping just to be in the play in tournament and after the Gafford and P.J trade in February, they went crazy and stole a 5th seed and could potentially win it all. Can they win it all, we shall see, but it would be a great fairytale finish to the Maverick's run this season 😁

⁠@@samarthpatel8093it’s not hating but no matter how good you’ve done in the past and recently he needs to stop complaining almost every possession it hurts the team when he’s complaining instead of running back for defense. And forcing shot after shot and almost all game long he will pass someone and instead of driving right away to the basket he will back up into them to maybe get a foul idek but he proceeds to force a shot, he was not like this at all regular season.

Kyrie is a second half player. I knew from the start that this 31 lead by Clippers won't last long because of Kyrie. This man way more dangerous than Luka if he gets hot. On top of that Clippers were too focused on Luka so Kyrie had it even easier to almost make the craziest comeback.

I think Luka should run the offense but it should be featuring Kyrie as the #1 option! Luka offense is built for regular season, he’s not efficient when he has to play defense too!

Nope, its literally been a blessing. The team was -35 when Luka was off. IF U WATCHED THE GAME, u would see the team crumbles without him cuz they start trying to be way too fast, luka holding the ball and letting the offense set is necessary. Its BEEN WORKING just cuz they lost two games due to Harden and PG shooting 62% from 3 doesn’t mean luka is the problem

Think Luka isn’t firing but I think he’s the reason they got to the play offs. Maybe injured and over played all season maybe? He isn’t quite right - maybe the knee…..? Think if luka and Kyrie have a good night… they win. But they Luka needs 35:8:9 and Kyrie needs 28:5:6. They do that twice - they win the series. I think Kyrie can over perform his side but I’m not sure Luka can at the mo. That said a coupe of days off benefits Luka maybe more than the others as he’s clearly injured.

Pain can do that. He's humping over the court, but, I'd like him more to rest the knee. Kidd should make some changes, but, it's easier for me to say it than for him to do it. It's a huge problem. I don't think that Kyrie can go on like this for a long time. He'll lose strength...🥺

@dealnowwilson445 Luka was playing faster all season long but his knee injury is holding him back physically. Credit the Clippers defensive gameplan by Coach Lue has been slowing him down and he’s exerting a lot of energy on the defensive of the ball.

Luka tends to slow down the game cause his athleticism or lack of it fits a slow game, also he needs a bit of time to read the court and execute the right play or pass, but this also gives the opponent time to defend properly. The trick is to know when to slow and when to quicken the pace, and the coaching staff needs to step in here…

Thank you YKB, slowing the game down IS NOT inherently bad, Luka has always managed to destroy defenses this way. Unfortunately hes been injured and sluggish so it looks off he needs to adapt to the situation NOW

This is why I emphasize that there is a time when slowing the game down is the right strategy and there is also the time for quickening the pace. You cannot go slow every game, Luka may fit well here, but they will become predictable and soon enough lose many games as opponents can adjust accordingly.

Luka didn't play well, and I think Luka spending lot of energy defending may be the reason for his lackluster performance offensively. He needs to be emotionally smart and conserve himself on the defense and be proactive on offense.

Great second half led by Kyrie and his heroics in this game deserve to be remembered better than they will be. Unfortunately the chase-down of the Clippers' 31-point lead took too much out of the Mavs and brilliant individual efforts on losing teams are usually caught-up in the fog of defeat. 🤨 Makes me think: was JKidd out-coached in the 1st half? I mean, on the one hand, the Clippers seemed to understand that the scenario would be a more strictly refereed game after the raucous end to Game 3. On the other hand, meanwhile, the Mavs went to their usual Luka-dominated 3-pointer strategy and thereby dug themselves into that ditch.

Paul George and those Clipper players were much better against Luka and Harden along with Mann were physically imposing their will on Luka, it affected Lukas efficiency offensively and despite the comeback from 31 down folks, the officiating team had a huge impact on holding their whistle against this Clippers team in the 3rd and 4th quarters...Kyrie was outstanding, but you are not getting those calls in Los Angeles!!!❤❤❤

A lot of people blaming Luka which is fine cause he hasnt been great but the team had 16 turnovers and Clippers shot 62% from 3, making some ridiculous shots. When both of those things happen, its hard to win.
