And as you know - patterns create a style of play, right ? So a lot's been said that the players dont understand what they should do, or they are not bright enough, etc....also that Ten Hag hasnt worked with them in terms of patterns, tactics etc But clearly, if you understand football - you can see a number of patterns that's been produced already last season, and they continue in some f e w games this season. ( also against premier league teams ) So just the fact they can repeat the patterns - although not in a frequent manner - shows that there is a style of play, and that the coach has been working with them ( also interviews suggests that Eric works a lot with tactical aspects ). So the question is, why the players let themselves down so often - even if you loose you should be able to recognize the same or similar moves as the game before. My assessment is that a number of them are too weak mentally. ( afraid )
