On new chev front I seen few 2500 an 3500 that are level out that look good but the 15 to 19 gmc is best looking one they ever made they ran away from it to fast. They remind me of 95 to 98 z71 bAck when chev was cool to have

I use smart truck route II. It’s an app you pay for annually. It’s fantastic for the driving world. You can update height and length parameters and it will give alternate routes based on that. I’ve found a lot of unique routes because of this app since I’m rarely ever 13’6” anymore.

It’s 80 barrel now it is projected to be 200 barrel middle next summer an that will be 8 or 10 gallon an the economist that are predicting that ant been wrong yet so if it ant 200 it will be close to it new folks better watch what there stepping into an also dam crats got bill on table to knock insurance minimum up from 750,000 to 2 mil an there hiding it in big bill so there will be no push back on it these big truck co want that to push out little man

I'd like to find out more also about hotshot at moment I'm looking and just missing out on trailers , I'd like to stick in it for long haul like that the career can follow you where ever you'd move to, some places are just getting to pricey to live in

I use the bluetooth in my stereo and it works great! No complaints about sound quality, I can see who is calling and tap the stereo. It also will read and allow me to reply via voice to text messages. I'm thru with wearing anything to talk on a phone anymore! Since you have the GoPro, try using the app on your phone and aim the camera at where the cars meet so you know what your gap is. I never haul more than one so I don't have that problem...but it's got to be a PITA for you to have to keep checking. And we know you can't bump!

I usually get out and check. When possible though I park in front of car windows or the dealership and use the reflections 👍👍 I used the dealership windows in this one lol

Fuel and tires are crazy. Just did a California run lowest fuel was Oklahoma @ 3.12 high was California @ 4.79 average was 3.50-3.79. Rates are not following the huge price increases if you listen to the news they claim freight rates are up 28%+ I’m not seeing it

Yeah man that’s crazy. I never really paid much attention to the national averages for rates. They never did line up with what I saw. Still don’t lol

How much is the average car haul a mile?

It depends on what you set your search parameters for. I don’t even see the cars under 80 cpm. Between cars, trucks and SUVs I generally see plenty to move between .80-1.20 per mile. Always try to bump the rate but I usually stack my trailer based on revenue per day. 3 cars at $350 will gross you $1,050. I usually try to run 400 or less miles.

There’s no specified length that it allows you to be for a car hauler. Most likely 75’ max. I never stressed much over it. It’s a stupid law that’s hardly enforced plus there’s only like 3 weigh stations in Indiana anyway lol

No need for a headset I’ve never understood why anyone would wear one when you can just Bluetooth your phone to radio. Unless of course you just want to look like a supertrucking airplane pilot in the truck stop.

I spend almost as much time out of the truck loading and unloading cars as I do in the truck driving. I need my hands and can’t take every phone call in the truck. Plus on a personal level I find the conversation blaring throughout the truck extremely annoying. A headset just works better for me.
