I learned this trap after analyzing a game with the Damiano defense the opening theory showed that every player sacked the knight and I play along and found out why, nevertheless the next day someone played the same defense and I executed the trap but it wasn’t like this because black blocked with his pawn when I checked the king with my light square bishop anyways it still ended with mate after HxG5 pawn

wouldnt black block with the pawn then when the queen took the pawn the knight would come out and block
