I honestly didn't even know that was Damien until I read it somewhere and it absolutely blew my mind. Now that I know it's him I can't really unhear his voice, but he still absolutely melts into the role. Great job Also using Shayne as that outro sequence was perfect

I get what you're saying but "I didn't understand why the other characters treated Laios like they did until I heard your performance" is such a wild compliment that's basically isomorphic to a devastating insult.

I wish I could thank Damian for his portrayal! I'm autistic and have cooking as a special interest and this has been one of the very few times I've been able to look at a character and go "that's me!" I used to make jokes when playing Monster Hunter about what they'd taste like. I felt seen

Definitely one of the few Anime where I actually prefer the Dub over the Sub! The ENG voice actors really did a great job giving these characters a soul that fits !

I LOVE THAT SHOW SO MUCH and god the food looks so damn delectable, Damien was perfect for this character as well, he is adventurous about food and I love that last bit in the opening where they are all just clambering around that huge caldron it just feels good🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤

about Pete's question about replacing Kensuke inside Laois armor, Kensuke will die if he does that, because he's a mollusk, when you pry open a mollusk's shell they die, because their shell is quiet literally their spine.

I think the thing the question asker missed is that Marcille is *wrong* about Living Armor. She (and presumably anyone who shared her education) thought they were animated by a mage, and likely that kind of Living Armor does exist, but this is a different phenomenon entirely and whatever she thought she knew is not applicable. *And she knows that.*

To anyone who's familiar with the React or Try Not To channels here on KZfaq...you know those Try Not to Eat challenges they do? The ones where expert chefs recreate dishes featured from shows and movies? Well...I keep waiting for the day the channel does one based off of either Dungeons & Dragons or Delicious in Dungeon. If you would want to try food recreations from either one, which would it be and why?

@@TheCharacterSheet Right? It's especially so since there are not one, not two but THREE D&D cookbooks with their own recipes. Sure, Exquisite Exandria is from Critical Role and people like to see the group as something separate from D&D. But personally, I think it still counts

The funniest thing about eating horses is that because horse girls have negatively stigmatized eating horses so much, now horses that would be raised as food end up in dog and cat food.

I thought the cast was pretty great in both dub & sub- didn’t know Laois was Damien at first I just thought the character sounded similar to the voice in my head when I first read the manga. Was reading the manga when my pappy had just passed away & for that it’s very special to me & really helped me get through that year. I always was like- this would make a pretty good anime.

rly interested in that tattoo wish he would zoom in on that lol. also i cannot imagine how would you move kensuke exactly. pry open its sword shell? then put him where exactly, inside the armor against laios' body? outside the armor? then wait for it to build the shell again? i think theres a lot of practical difficulties if you would take this route. anyway cool interview! love damien!

I have always been a sub over dub guy but this is one of the few shows that stands with Hellsing: Ultimate as dub being my recommendation. Everyone killed it, even supporting and side characters are better voiced than most anime mains.
