I don't know why a great artist like him is so underrated... its so unfair.
@algeerianprincess5 жыл бұрын
dont think he wants to be be any other way tbh, within the genre he is quite appreciated and i dont feel like he measures his success by the number of people listening to his music (especially if its the wrong people lol)

It's guys like Damien Rice who show the world why the Irish are the best musicians/storytellers. Simply a man and his guitar, no need for anything else. Love him!

I think we need to clear some things up. Not everyone is special this is why artists like Damien Rice is underrated, because there is not so much people left to aprreciate the art of music. We are unique souls united all around the world who has good taste of music. Not everyone needs or has to have this kind of ability, we cannot make everyone like this kind of art but i think we are lucky to have this taste. It is like wine tasting or being a cook, everyone can cook but not everyone make an art from it. Lots of love from Turkey.

Both are equally great! I have addicted with the album song since forever, especially the outro part (up until now, no song ever top the album version of MFFF in my music apps). All those backing musical instruments are a total bliss

Went through some stuff recently with my Wife. Some real hard shit. Damien rice saved me with his way to relate to the more complicated things in a relationship. He's lived through some stuff, and he expresses what greater empathy a person can have with his music. My marriage is healthier now because these songs made me stop and think, I wish more music out there would give people pause before shooting themselves in the foot.

He is the greatest musician and songwriter that ever lived in my opinion. I don't feel anyone else comes close to the emotion you can feel from every song every time you play it, and if you've seen him live...it's like witnessing a DemiGod in person

One man can produce deeply meaningfull and worthy music only using his guitar and voice, that's something all these rap, pop, hip-hop-dope ass musicians can never understand nor value. The music industry is all fucked up.
@justhere51259 жыл бұрын
You clearly haven't heard good products for any of those genres and are just spiting out ignorant babble right now.
@devinrobertson52519 жыл бұрын
will edmondson Nope. Rap technically isn't music. Literally takes no talent. It's just... rhyming. Singing actually takes real effort, talent, etc (Learning vibrato, being biologically able to reach higher notes, etc.). Sama Tibi, I completely agree.

A love letter to Lisa....
@florescano6668 жыл бұрын
I think she doesn't deserve it, because Damien has been writting such beautiful songs for her since his album "9" and now with this latest album does the same. As he said, he never loved some one like she. But I saw an interview of lisa when the reporter asked her for Damien, she doesn´t show any feelings for he, like he dosn't mean nothing for her. She never loved Damien like he do still love she
@KohtarohZushi8 жыл бұрын
+Sergio Florescano Aguirre I think that's the point of this song. The woman he loved so much is not real after all, only his fantasy.
@talalahmed6088 жыл бұрын
+arcticmonkey3 The whole damn album is like a long apologetic love letter to Lisa and it's heartbreaking.
@iHEARTdashboard008 жыл бұрын
+Sergio Florescano Aguirre that interview where she's sitting and they ask her is before this album. And there's also this interview where he goes into detail about what happened between them--he basically admits to being a total ass. It's a good heartbreaking read. And the thing is he has changed since then and he's doing well...back doing music. www.eskimofriends.com/2009/12/20/interview-hot-press-5/
@KohtarohZushi8 жыл бұрын
Yes, I think if Lisa didn't leave him, there is no "My Favorite Faded Fantasy" album now.
