I spend the whole night in listening to your songs, hearing your voice, watching you, on a telephone in a brave new world. Now its half six in the morning, in a foreign country on planet earth, we are still alive, strange to leave, a new day will soon begin. By by love ❤️

Nothing unusual, nothing strange Close to nothing at all The same old scenario, the same old rain And there's no explosions here Then something unusual, something strange Comes from nothing at all I saw a spaceship fly by your window Did you see it disappear? Amie come sit on my wall And read me the story of O And tell it like you still believe That the end of the century Brings a change for you and me Nothing unusual, nothing's changed Just a little older that's all You know when you've found it, There's something I've learned 'Cause you feel it when they take it away Something unusual, something strange Comes from nothing at all But I'm not a miracle And you're not a saint Just another soldier On the road to nowhere Amie come sit on my wall And read me the story of O And tell it like you still believe That the end of the century Brings a change for you and me And Amie come sit on my wall And read me the story of O And tell it like you still believe That the end of the century Brings a change for you and me

2 years ago my daughter sits down on my bed and she says, "Mum I need to show you a song." She presses play and my heart stops and I began to cry do deeply. She said, "I knew yould like it." I believed in miracles and magic and that God has amazing powers to give us messages, but this one was so personal it brought me to complete surrender. I screamed "how, how, how, does this man know my story, my name, me to write this? How can he do that yo me." You see, this song is about me. My name is Amie. When Damien gets to the part of the song where he says my name and asks me to tell him about the story of "O", I cant help but feel God talking me it's ok to share my story. The reason my daughter showed me is everything in this song screams Amie, me. She said she's known about it for a while but was waiting for the right moment to share it because she knew it would trigger me and it still does Everytime I hear it. I'm a writer writing my life story as spaceships show up and suddenly disappear. My real life story of O. My daughters are product of this unconventional life I was in bondage to and escaped to begin healing. And I do believe at the end of the century there is a change for you and me. Every phrase has very persoanl meanings to me and I'm grateful Damien took some time to share how this story was created, because even within that story, I could see many more messages from spirit for me. So inspired. God bless and thank you. Love the Beloved Amie❤

Yes what I wrote here is real. Within this intro and song, is a canvas that paints in such vivid detail, me. I've never met this man. In my life his song speaks to a deeper part of me, telling my story so eloquently he brings me to tears every time I listen. When he says my name something electric happens within my soul. Like he is peeling back my layers to expose me. In saying "read me the story of O", I know the challenge I am faced with by writing my version of my Story of O. My life has been unique. Some day I'd like to ask Damien a question. Does he know what the meaning of the story of O is? It's a unique story so it sparks my curiosity. I'm Irish decent and very spiritually connected to my Celtic ancestry. As I have my journey finding myself, I find myself being shown how connected our universe is and how magic and miracle are real. I have daughters very connected to Spirit and know when they are bringing me a message. I am finding my journey is bringing me to new levels of surrender and vunrability I hadn't imagined. Seeing others share their creative genius inspires me to share my creative side. My life gives me limitless supply of stories, only one is the Story of O, but I might change the O to A as that title is already taken. I have an adventurous life with my girls. They have their own stories as well. Thank you for asking. It would be very cool to meet Damien. Somehow I feel a deep connection. Maybe he's part of my family that I don't know. I do look into history. My Irish grandfather was an orphan adopted here in Canada when he was 1. I don't know his Irish family name. I would love to write my grandfather's life story. I have a lot of projects I am inspired to create through my family and my life story. I'm opening up to new aspects of myself every day. I'm challenged to surrender all my masks and share parts of myself I've kept hidden. It's bringing me to a place of emotion that is leaving me very naked and exposed, hence the story of O. Not many would know what the story is about. It's deeply connected to my "unconventional" background. Many parts of myself are coming to the surface. I'm seeing how I can use my passion for writing and be creative in telling my stories. I used to write differently and this new version of me has challenge my writing and taken me to see myself through a completely different lens. My daughters are my biggest influence and cheerleaders. They remind me of how many women read my words and how I inspire others. They know my story. They know how exposed I'll be and they fully support my projects. They are very wise young women. Thank you for the message.

That story as fantastic and as funny as it is, it has actually nothing to do with Amie. Damien in a an old interview explained he wrote this song on 98 and it's about the new millennium (that the end of this century brings a change for you and me) and his hope so people and things get better by then, more green etc.
@olajastrzebska48868 жыл бұрын
it can be about Amie AND the new millennium, don't you think? :)

Just talking about the lyrics/songs I write, from that perspective, sometimes there's just some things/lines that don't add up well, so you keep throwing "random" words/rhymes, still related to your momentanious (is that a word?) mindset. Most songs don't just talk about a single subject, just think of lyrics as thinking - when your mind is occupied with one thing, there's still other things coming around once in a while. I can't really tell anything about his intention, but I think that'd be reasonable.

+Анастасия СмотрюВидео It's a song about taking off shirt. And aah, and pants. It was an evening, it wasn't even evening actually, it was afternoon, I was sitting in Ireland, it was raining. And, it's already dark enough and grey enough in Ireland, but for some reason there was also this tradition to put nap curtains on all the windows just to keep out any possible light. So there I was, like this young-ish guy staring at the window at my parents' house. And I wasn't feeling so great, so I called up my friend, and she said "why don't you come on over here". her house didn't have any curtain on windows, so I went over. We hung out for a one, and I just felt better for some reason, you know, just being out of you know, parents' place or whatever, hanging out with her. We've been friends for ages, just this really comfortable, platonic relationship, you know. and then, that evening, she says: "Tell you what, why don't you just stay here tonight? You can stay in my bed." And I never, well...^^ I never thought... I haven't reeeally thought about it that much, because we were friends, you know. And my brain went into this new space, it was like whooah, and within sort of a third of a second I had this full story built in my hands, time just paused, it was like my imagination went to all these places, and then, out of that space I heard this echoing, you know like... that brought me back, and says "Yeah, my sister has gone away, so I'll stay in her bed..." I was like "cool, yeah", and so she brought me upstairs and she says "I'll tuck you in" I said "cool, thanks" and she was like "come on, take off your clothes, get ready" and I was like ... She was sort of like straightforward, not a single sexual thing on her mind, and I was like ... So I just got ready and I got into bed and she sat on the side of the bed, kneeled down and put her arms like that on the side of the bed and she said "You know, all that's wrong with you is that, you know, you just need to spend some time with yourself, just you know, stare at the window, look at the stars, just spend a little bit of time with yourself, and you'll feel so much better in the morning" and I was like ok.. So, she left the room, I looked at the window, nice stars, I decided to take her advice and to spend a little bit of time with myself... She was right, I did feel better. But just for a while, and so I went back home to my parents the next day and... it's song for that. There might be a few mistakes, but that's pretty much it :)
