@@regulus7181it is not the "legit" voice actor. In this, Christopher Burns does the VA. The English credit for the actual MoM VA is Ray Chase. Thank you for doing the most basic research before commenting, fellow citizen of the internet.

@@mulletman9570 but the Back Cover cutscenes aren’t fan dubbed though right? I’m confused Because I swear it sounds like Ira is voiced by Matt Mercer in the Back Cover scenes but I legitimately can’t tell which bugs me because I can usually recognize his voice immediately

No I checked and none of the real actors who played their role from the original. Sadly this is a fandub and Im sure they did it for free. The real voice actors would want payment. Then it would basically become real. He will reprise his role in KH4

This is... just genuinely fantastic. I'm someone who is generally super picky about voice acting in general, but Jiminy Crickets, I was seriously blown away by how good everyone is! It sounds really professional and the whole video is so well made. Thank you (and the whole team and the voice actors) so much for this! You're doing SE's work that they should've done years ago. Union X and Dark Road has some of the BEST story that Kingdom Hearts has to offer (not to mention, IMPORTANT story) and it is such a pity that so many people have passed on it for such a long time. Hopefully this will make it more wide-spread and commonly known! Also I just want to say that I'm absolutely in love with Skuld's performance! God, if certain theories are true and Skuld is to make an appearance in future, I hope her official voice will be similar cause dang her VA in this really hits the mark of what I how I always imagined she would sound like.

As someone who got into Kingdom Hearts about a year ago and trying to catch up with everything this is a great fandub and I enjoyed watching it with friends along the way. Thank you for this masterpiece and I cannot wait for part 2 to come out :)

This was phenomenal! A massive thank you to everyone involved in this project! I've been looking forward to seeing what you guys cooked up for a while now and I'm absolutely blown away by it, couldn't have dreamed of it being any better! The fan voices for the characters with preexisting voices were often times so close that I had a double take on who voiced what and the previously unvoiced characters sounded exactly how I imagined them to sound like! The delivery from everyone was absolutely amazing and having Back Cover intertwined with the voiced X story honestly elevated Back Cover too. Also, I highly appreciate the small touches you made to the editing and structure Damo! Including Observations exceprt 1 as part of the secret ending and showing that splash screen for Unchained X are absolutely brilliant choices!! (I got a tiiiny feeling that Unchained art miiight come back by the end of Part 2 with a twist. Also the detail of the armor breaking during the fights, hello??? so good!!) I'm gonna force my friends to watch this with me while I patiently wait for Part 2 to come out :). Thank you guys so SO much for all the effort and work you put in for this great game and the community!

Literally this project is going to be and already is so SO IMPORTANT to the future of kingdom hearts. I know there are ppl who gripe about the mobile games but they are integral to kingdom hearts and are going to be even more so for Missing Link but more importantly Kingdom Hearts 4. This is really well done, thank you all for putting this together for everyone to enjoy and partake in it!!🎉

Great job! But if you don't mind me asking, why did you change where strelitzia is introduced in the story? Her murder happening right before Lauriaum's introduction is kind of an important moment for the story pacing and trajectory imo. Lauriaum getting set up as her murderer only to be revealed as her brother is probably my favorite twist from back when the game was active, and even disregarding that, in my opinion it makes more sense to keep it with the other union leader introductions. At the very least, I'm not sure why you would need to change its placement in the story.

Because all these scenes are done in chronological order so it happens first and in part 2 we see the reveal of the union leaders. It's a little bit less suspenseful with Lauriam's reveal but when you watch this for the first time you still wouldn't know who did it

It's out!!! I'm so excited to watch this! So much work has gone into this and everyone should be proud of themselves, this is an amazing accomplishment for the Kingdom Hearts community. Thank you everyone who voiced, everyone who worked on this, and thank you Damo for organizing the whole thing to begin with and then editing it all together! We know how hard you and everyone worked on this! Thank you!!! (edit after watching, SPOILERS under 'read more') I've now seen the whole thing and it is beyond phenomenal! Strelitzia's death definitely hits harder voiced, oh my gosh, I admit I cried a bit. I also teared up when Chirithy said "You did great. You can rest now, okay?" That was an unexpected gut punch, geez! XD Everyone did such a good job, and it's so much easier to experience the story this way, I can only say again, THANK YOU! IT'S AWESOME!

At 2:08:05, it made me realize something. I just now realized, it looks like not only was Ven "made" a union leader by "Ava" away from the location where at least 3 of the union leaders were made leaders (skuld, ephemer and brain), so was Strelitzia. At timestamps above, she's right outside the clocktower. The other 3 were made union leaders at the hilltop. We don't really get a confirmation from Lauriam where he was given the title by Ava but I'm gonna leave him out of this just to make this point. Strelitzia was the outlier out of the original union leader list, being the one who was killed and replaced. Making Ventus the outlier by not being chosen to be a union leader officially. Isn't it strange that Ava gave Strelitzia the guidebook away from the hilltop? It is a place for important events in the khux part of the series (you could argue outside the clocktower is the same but i still find it random). And it is used later by Brian and Ephemer as a question to determine who really was the traitor to skuld and Ventus. So it's not really a throw away thing if it's brought up waaay later in the series. If she was still alive and Ven didn't take her place, she could of easily been outed as a traitor just because she was given the title away from the key place. Maybe Ava knew something was going to happen to her, by reading the book of prophecies. I mean out in the open like that compared to hill seems kinda sketchy to tell someone important world shattering info. Someone like Ven or more specifically darkness could of heard nearby. Whether it was stated in the book or not, no matter what there was still gonna be a "traitor" by the masters plans design. Whether they were controlled by darkness or not. Misunderstanding could lead to a whole array of emotions. In an alternate reality, Strelitiza was outed as the traitor and in tandem, Lauriam would defend his sister with his life, causing confrontation with everyone. And we all know Laurium is ready to throw hands and summon his keyblade whenever. I mean remember when he lifted Brain but by his shirt and threw Ephemer aside? Some people would chose to defend strelizia while others would stick with the little info they got and keep suspicions...

Also before anyone brings it up, rewatching this also made clear that Ava made Ephemer the Leader leader of the dandelions and union leaders in her stead. He just wanted equal power amongst the union leaders. She says in in the first confrontation with Master Ava, Player and Skuld. So no I don't believe part of the reason Ava chose to give Strelitiza the book somewhere different is because she was going to be made leader. She could of originally been chosen to get the book of prophecies but I'd like to believe Ephemer would of been made the lucky wielder. At least logically. Since he does like looking for truths and answers. Brain was more of the strategist in my opinion. The "brains" of the group lol. While Ephemer was the heart and leader. If not ephemer for the heart, skuld sure was. If Strelitiza was going to be given the book of prophecies, then it would make sense for darkness to go after her. But I'm pretty sure it just chose the brightest light to extinguish just to get into the ranks. Strelitiza according to Lauriam was pretty verse in magic and while Ephemer and Skuld from the final battle in the game are pretty stronger, I wonder if Strelitzia would of gave at least one of them a run for their money lol. It's just a thought I've been having.

The meaning behind Ephemer’s name makes me feel kind of sad. It can either be a plant that survives droughts as seeds, or it can mean “temporary”. I like him as a character and he lasted a long time. Especially as a good friend. Plus, I like the name itself. It has a nice ring.

Theory time: I was thinking... What if the keyblade hurts people as with feelings? Lemme explain. Invi and Aced are fighting, and they are getting hurt even though they aren't getting actually hit at all. That's because the keyblade, said to be the power of the heart to fight for what's good, can cause pain in other people's hearts, which in turn wears them physically as well. First of all, yes. I do know you can make physical damage with the keyblade, but it depends on what or who you're hitting with it. If heartless or nobodies, they are just monsters, so all you fight with is plain determination. When fighting a friend or a person, it's a heart-to-heart fight. Just like when you argue with a person, and it hurts you in your heart, every keyblade clash with another or any other weapon makes as much soul damage, so to speak. Take Sora and Roxas' confrontation inside the datascape for example. Sora said that Roxas' attacks actually hurt him whereas only their blades clashed, and none ever touched the bearers. Same here. We don't see the blades actually touching the opponents, but they still get hurt from just clashing them around. All the times the keyblade has been able to swing through an enemy, be it human or not, it's been a lethal or almost lethal attack. This reinforces my point of view that the keyblade wears people down by just clashing it. And no, I don't mean exhaustion. That doesn't seem to exist in KH in general, though there are a few examples... Anyway, this is just my take on it trying to make any sense at all from this wicked series where nothing on screen makes sense (people not getting really hurt, for example). If I'm wrong, someone better change my mind, or Nomura had better do it himself. I know it's a family-oriented series, but Disney doesn't hesitate hurting people visibly enough for the audience to have a proper sense of stake and seriousness. That's all I think.

I just have to say-- I'm on my third watch, but I've been busy with other things so I usually mute the tab before the halfway point and let it play through for retention reasons, but Damo, YOUR voice acting around 1:43:00, in the scene when Player is talking about how he feels in regards to Ephemer being gone, is FANTASTIC. You did an INSANELY good job. I know you were hesitant to use your voice in this project, but the voice acting in that scene is so raw and genuine I'd never guess you weren't a professional. You did an AMAZING job and you TRULY brought life to the character, and this project would NOT have been the same without your voice in it. Thank you for EVERYTHING you've done to pull this together, but thank you also for letting us hear your player voice, because it truly brought something very special and beautiful to the project.

Sending this to everyone I can that hasn't yet experienced the plot of the mobile games. My partner and I watched all of the cutscenes a few months ago but it's definitely a hard sell for other people. You guys did an awesome job with this -- seriously, it sounds SO good -- and I hope that this allows the plot of the mobile games to be more accessible to more people. Big big kudos to everyone that worked on this!

This was very well made all things considered! Especially the VA for Skuld. Very much a standout amongst the cast! Looking forward to seeing the fandub for the remainder of the Union Cross story!

I can't measure mentally how much appreciation I feel for this work of art I came across right before I decided to start my journey of playing KH3. I was gathering the strength to give my inner child a hug, by being up to date to the whole series so I can get the most of the experience of playing KH3 (I completed the rest of the games in the series some months ago) and I came across this channel. You went through the trouble to make thorough explanations and even dub the series!! I spent almost all my day watching your content and I couldn't be happier to make this choice. Excellent work, well put together (like the rest of the videos) and the dub felt and was official. And I am not a fan of dubs. Your work means a lot to me. Thank you. Hope I get to see a part 2 but even if that won't reach the surface, thank you :)

I went into this thinking, “Oh, a fandub. Okay.” But you blew me away! The people you got sound really close to the official voice actors, and I underestimated how much more pleasant listening is rather than reading. You knocked it out of the park, and I can’t wait for Dark Road!

Great job everyone!! your dedication is truly appreciated👍🏼 though I would suggest going slower with the text bubbles to sync better with the voice. I know this might be a tiring fix since you’ll have to record all the clips again but you can keep that in mind for the next parts. another suggestion is to gradually increase the keyblade’s lvl throughout the story, so starting with starlight lv1 and in 33:43 use starlight lv2 to show the progress your character has gone through Would be a nice detail!
