I don´t know wich year this interview was made , but i think it was in 1994 -?

i'm so glad damon found a huge success in the us with gorillaz... he was very jealous of his then girlfriend justine because elastica was outselling blur. i mean, blur deserved a lot more success back in the early 90's but i guess blur's unique sound was "too british and poppy" for them, not guitar driven enough.

Justine was so0o0o lucky to have been with Damon at all. I would never have broken up with him. Even if he dumps me, I would cling to his leg as he walks away. Too bad I was still eight years old back in '94 hahaha

Damon and Justine were the best couple. You can see Damon truly loved her. I like how laid back Damon is in this interview even when the interviewer is asking about Justine's ex Brett Anderson who is a real douchbag. Justine was way better off with Damon Albarn

Not sure how you worked that out. Brett and Justine have remained lifelong friends even to this day while they are both happily married with new relationships. Meanwhile Damon has been extremely bitter and twisted about his split with Justine and she similarly can't stand him. The truth is, she was far too good for him. I like Damon and Blur, but in terms of his relationship with Justine, it is very clear he was the real douchebag. She even said in an interview last month that their relationship hit the rocks because he was jealous of Elastica's success in America. What a dick.

chip lawson I think Damon was too good for her. She's the one who got him into drugs and she probably choose them over him and is so bitter because Damon eventually got sensible enough to do better for himself and start a family with a decent woman. It's just weird that all these years later she comes up with this story that Damon was "jealous" of her success in America when she never said anything about it before, and I think it shows more class on Damon's part that he hasn't spoken about her or said anything negative about her in all these years, (or at least that I've heard), he seems secure enough not to, that's not called being a dick, that's just being mature. Meanwhile, Justine seems eager to milk the glory of the past for what little attention she can get from it.
